  1. Same bullet at 1.145, 4.1 N320 make 130PF for me. Bone stock P320RX.
  2. Would the grey flat face be legal in CO?
  3. Not what I was getting at. If IDPA is going to be off season matches to keep skills sharp why not use a carry gun, if you are going in to play the game to win then go all in.
  4. Are you trying to be a gamer? If not just shoot your carry gun, not a bad idea to practice with them every now and then. I shoot IDPA for fun so I could care less what others are shooting, ask the MD about it they might let you shoot it.
  5. Yes, like I said up at 4 power and up it will not focus for me, one of the guys I shoot with didn't notice the focus being as bad as I do, he has glasses I don't, may not have anything to do with it but?
  6. I can not get my strike eagle to focus after 3 to 4 power, looked great in store under flourescent light but out side it just dose not work with my eyes.
  7. He has a good video on you tube also.
  8. I've been running 3.4 for a 132 PF, what C.O.L. are you running? And after a year are you still happy with this load?
  9. Thanks for the info, as far as dealers go I think that is a no go any where near us. What I see looking on the interweb it looks like going with dillon direct is most likely the easy way.
  10. Started with production this year but switched from a G19 to a G34 if that counts. I made a goal for this year, when I quite shoot 12 years ago I was B open, so I making B in production with my ccw gun and holster was my goal. Now that that's done it time to play a little. The rest of this year I'll be switching around and find whats fun to shoot for next seasons goal A class in ?
  11. Thanks for the input, after looking at their site I have to agree.
  12. Who has the best pricing for dillon presses. A friend got bit by the USPSA bug and is looking to get into a new dillon. I bought my 1050 from Brian years ago, he made it so easy, and the price was the best I found. How is Krackenpop been to deal with?
  13. This! All good advice, get a match or two under you belt, then after your hooked shoot what makes you happy. I have an old limited gun and an old open gun, but I shoot a glock 19 in production, all though I did just pick up a g34, why? It's fun and a some point you have to learn mag changes and stage planning anyway.
  14. All of them are good, get a sample bag of a few and test. For me I found the Blue 135tc felt just right, and was more accurate in my gun then 147 blues and bayous, and for some dumb reason run smoother in the reloading press.
  15. 147gr coated lead need to run around a 135pf to be accurate for my glock. For me that's 3.2 of tight group at 1.135".
  16. Tried to reach River valley last week and have gotten no reply. Was able to pick up 1800 55gr soft piont yesterday from a hole in the wall shop in my area, little high but he had them.
  17. What powder measure do you use, I just picked up a pound of AR comp and a pound of IMR 8208xbr to try out. I load on a S1050 and you are right about H335 being messy, W748 is also. From what I have read AR comp is working better with heavy bullet, not that it wouldn't be fine with 55's.
  18. I like the MDF idea might use that and put some draw runners on it and mount the hole rig under the bench top.
  19. Looks about like the same set up I came up with. As far as changing a 1050 from 9mm to 45acp, just did the swap last month, and found it wasn't near as hard as I was expecting, I also think my 1050 is running smoother on 45 then it did on 9mm, (ordered the machine in 9mm).
  20. You will be happy, I can honestly say that I was a little nervous about the first change over, but I really feel that the press is running smoother on 45 then it did on 9mm. Good luck and happy reloading!
  21. Swap the 1050 over to 45, load a couple thousand rounds, swap back to 9mm and do the same. I ordered my 1050 in 9mm and the large primer conversion plus a spare tool head, after changing over to 45 the first time I can not believe that for 12 years I loaded 45 on my 550, not that I don't love my old 550 but holly smokes, the 1050 and 45 are made for each other.
  22. I have had a s1050 for a week now, the very first cycle of the handle it was locking up and would not let the tool head raise up. That one little screw took about a quarter turn and problem solved. Happy loading!
  23. I cannot tell you a lot yet, just got my first 1000, by weight what I have seen on my scale, if they are weighing in @ 126.7-125.2grs. Haven't had a chance to shoot them yet, just working on a load. I have 30 loaded up with 3 different powders, should been able to chrono in the am.
  24. Well the 1050 is up, took about 45min to put together, another 10 to 15, to set the powder drop where it needed to be and all I can say is that the 1050 is sweet.
  25. HOLLY 1050 bat man this thing is sweet! Ordered after work last Tuesday, Brain called the next day (thank you), and the new beauty showed up today. Now to unbox the beast and crank out some rounds!
