  1. as much pressure and gasses going through the comp safely is the key in any open, glocks included
  2. +1 on peterthefish's comment. I have and use the mount in question, and the access point makes the lock and adjustment screws sufficiently accessible.
  3. Gooldylocks Thanks for the clarification. I haven't seen one yet and the TF.com picture is on of a profile view.
  4. Unless the contact is excessive, which I think you would notice during assembly/disassembly, I wouldn't think this frame/slide contact would matter much. There is probably something else going on here. I looked at multiple of my frames/slides and each one of them make contact at some point.
  5. Is the TF Sight Block free-bore like a comp or is it rifled like a barrel?
  6. Also, I am getting 20 reloadable with gen 3 & 4 tubes, TTI Springs & Base pads, and followers 'tuned' per Dawson's video. And 19 with the same except Dawson base pads.
  7. Oh yeah! Also check the inside of the mag to see if there is any plastic "flashing" or over molded spots where the polymer protrudes into the the mag causing an obstruction. +1 on EngelMacher's advice. IME it makes a world of difference in the function. If there is any part of the inside of the mag tube that is not smooth, then this creates a point for possible obstruction with the spring, follower, and/or round.

Who did the stippling? Or, how did you do it? It looks great, both in function and appearance!
  9. +1 for the Rainier 135g 40's. Been running them accurately and flawlessly for a while now, several thousands.
  10. I am willing to bet that if someone was to ask Vogel if he would rather have a great grip or a frame weight, the answer would be ............hmmm?
  11. any other anecdotal evidence about the MBX Para mags? I have heard that some "Gen 1's" were having some issues and that MBX reworked some things and are willing to replace the "Gen 1's". Not sure if this is misinformation/conjecture. Can anyone substantiate?
  12. Racinready300ex I was/am not trying to offend you or anybody on skill or fundamentals deficiencies. I am the first in line in needs improvement; I am not a bad shooter but I am also not a GM. However, it became apparent to me that through reading this topic that no one had talked about the purpose of a frame weight and addressed how fundamentals can/should address the issues. I add weight to my Limited and Open Glocks like the next guy, that's not the point I was/am trying to add. As RangerTrace stated, Vogel, who switch from heavier STI's back to Glocks and takes second in Production Nationals 2015. The following link is more where I was/am coming from: http://americanwarriorshow.libsyn.com/size/25/?search=the+great+on This is a podcast interview of Rob Latham by Mike Seeklander's American Warrior Show. Although it is long, it is very informational about how we become great (>95%) shooters. I hope this clarifies the grey!
  13. I love my race master and would hate to have to cut on her just because I can't/won't grip my gun correctly. Properly learn the fundamentals of shooting and stop trying to buy improvement. The most effective long term way to but improve is with more ammo thru the barrel. No short cuts.
  14. I shoot with Foxj66 and can tell you his stuff runs. +1 for TTI.
  15. Fixed it for ya. If you need to check or replace parts, wipe it down with a rag, otherwise, just add a little more slide glide once in a while.......Cleaning a Glock -- next you'll want to take the mags apart after each stage..... +1
  16. The slide is open about a 1/2 inch when it stops feeding. I was having the same issue with my 16.40 pro custom. It ended up being an improperly adjusted/uninstalled extractor. It was too Loi Loi loose. I increased the tension and wallah!
  17. 2nd kmca........save your $
  18. A thumb rest on a frame mount nullifies frame flexing issues. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk
  19. When I switched from 155s to Rainier 135s it made a big difference on recoil and comp effectivenessSent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk
  20. I agree Mahlsan .... that's what I encountered with my Para was aftermarket parts and mags issues.
  21. what grit sandpaper? are you just ruffing it up or smoothing it out?
