  1. I just purchased a used M1S90 for use as a Limited SG. I keep hearing about the "Benelli thumb." What is it? How do you avid it? Thanks.
  2. Are the only differences the new stock, Crio chokes and cosmetic changes?
  3. I just picked up a AR rifle length FF tube off eBay for a good price. It's aluminum and seems to be well made with lightening slots made into the end of the tube. It's a two piece set, with no markings. Two questions: 1. Can anyone tell me who makes it? 2. My JP tube has an rubber O ring that goes on the nut. This one doesn't. Do I need an O ring? Thanks (ignore the carbine handguards in the pic).
  4. Ron - I was right there with you yesterday at a local match. I don't think I saw a sight picture or allignment all day
  5. Looks nice. Do you have two different models - one for mounting on a gas block and one for the handguard? How does it flip up/down? How much? Thanks.

    open glock 35?

CR speed with the snot Dremeled out of it.
  7. Oh - you mean that they already make an adjustable tube or do you mean that they make a long fixed length tube? Claudio - here's the site: Briley
  8. Good advise! I've broken off screws inside the sight by overtightening. The sight is ruined. I now just hand tighten - and then turn a 1/4 turn more + some blue Loctite.

I agree with George, but if he insists on a tube sight, you can get a Carver mount for the Aimpoint. You need to do some surgery to a holster to make it work however. For the CR Speed, you'll need to Dremel the snot out of it so the Carver mount will fit. I doubt a comp will do much with factory ammo unless you buy very expensive 135 grain ammo, so you might try it without the comp - or just get some ports cut into the factory barrel. There's another thread on this topic, but IMO you really don't need an aftermarket barrel if the factory barrel produces good accuracy. Taylor mag extentions have the best capacity. Arredondo are good as well, but only hold 19 or so.
  10. I just got a Briley 8 round tube for my new (used, but new to me) M1S90. It is just slightly shorter than my 21" barrel and seems to be well made. I shot it today and it works fine.
  11. I just use a strong steel punch (not the thin Glock tool). I push the punch through the hole in the basepad and use the punch to pry it off. The key is that you need a strong punch. I think I use a finishing nail countersink punch.
  12. Garret - like George set this up. I wish I could do it at those times at 50!!
  13. I love mine. YMMV. How many accessories have you NOT taken the Dremel to?
  14. Bushmaster makes good barrels. It's refreshing to see a 3G Big Dog shooting a non-high end barrel. Good thread Kurt.
  15. I ran this drill about 8-10 times today. The first two runs I bobbled the reload and had very forgettable times! Unlike the handgun, I reload the rifle better if I don't cant the mag well toward the mag - just keep it straight up and down and leave it on my shoulder. I didn't write down the specific times/points, but my better times were between 4.7-5.1. I had one run with all A's at 5.00, the other runs each had one or two C's. The reloads generally ranged from 1.6-1.9 (not including the first two runs). My reloads were from the belt from a kydex mag holder. The rifle is a 17" Bushmaster with an Aimpoint ML2.
  16. also known a "tree rats."
  17. The OEM Benelli tube is a +4 extention - which I believe brings the capcity to 8 (4+4) plus one in the pipe. It's about the same price as the Briley.
  18. Is the Briley a better tube than the OEM Benelli? Thanks.
  19. What is a clear plastic done?
  20. If it wasn't for my pellet gun, the birds would get nothing because the squirels would eat it all! I don't kill them, just discourage them
  21. Chris, Thanks for the review. Do you have any pics of the mods you made to the Glockmeister connector? Thanks!
  22. It's all just subjective opinion and preference. I like the G22 for LTD. Most people like the G35. The great thing about Glock is that you can pick up a complete uppper for around $250, although the G24 is harder to find. Try them and see what you like. Sell the upper you don't like as well. Good luck.
