Looks for Match (2/11)

  1. It is not the Dillon it is the powder that you chose. Varget is a great powder and I use it for several loads. But no powder dropper is impervious to large stick powder making a bridge once in awhile. I also have a Harrell powder drop, The best made at over $300 just for the measure and guess what Varget will hang up there also. So either polish away or choose a different powder. Do you shoot all of your guns box stock?? Tweaking is part of the game, And there are many on the 1050s, You will soon find out.\ Hoofy gave you great advice and the place to solve your problem
  2. Song is Bullet with a name By Nonpoint
  3. Redding has been the STANDARD. Why would you want to look elsewhere??
  4. It is way too long. Never make it. The .223 barely has room on a RL1050, Must have a Super for anything longer than the .223

    My Dad......

Sweet Set up, You better get your Dad one hell of a Christmas present this year, ( like Maybe a new Blaster)
  6. Take a case to a grinder or cut it in half. I ground down some just until I got into the primer hole then put it on the press with the cut out facing out. You now have a perfect window to see to adjust the swager and back up die to optimum performance. I can post a picture if anyone needs to see to get what I mean.
  7. That don't look even close to 30 k of brass to me. How many 5 gallon buckets?
  8. I never did get to try one of those Angry sewing machines. I am Jealous, The HP to weight ratio is killer, and it must flick into corners like a feather. I raced Formula-USA on a FZR 1000 Battle tank back in 1990-1991 then tried 600 super sport class on a jixer what a difference in the twisties. I can only imagine the TZ. Have not even been back on a bike since 1996, except to take a quick spin on my friends new Ducati he got while I was back visiting in AZ. I miss it but don't miss the crashes or the cost of tires every other weekend. People think ammo is expensive
  9. Worse Yet is the ones who keep shooting a classifier until they get a good score to turn in. Which results in a lot of paper A or M class shooters that cant back it up at a match. I stink and I know I stink my scores show it. Although if I ever practiced I might get a little better
  10. I liked the stages in the French video. Climbing over stuff and on ramps and such. Seems like here we can't get away with that due to the fear of liability and other reasons. I wonder if they had anyone fall or trip. I know it is suppose to be a shooting contest not obstacle course but It sure makes a stage exciting. I am sure she will get her chance against Julie soon, We'll she how she fairs, My money so far is still on Juile...
  11. What exactly are you looking for. What caliber I mean, I have 3 of them and 1 super 1050, I think I might be better off with 2 of each so I may have one for sale.
  12. It works flawlessly, There wasn't much interest in this thread so I let it go. Much taller than the pistol version but not too tall. Lots of machine work done to the accumulator on the rifle model. I will never have to handle those tiny little bullets again. I will try to get some photos if anyone really needs to see them.
  13. I find the opposite, I use it in 9mm under a heavy 147 grn bullet at 133 p.f. and also in .40 under a 180 grn bullet minor load at 148 p.f. It is clean soft and very consistent over the chrono. I tried it in .45acp and it sucked, by the time I got it up to 165 P.f. the recoil was so bad and harsh with enough muzzle jump to be a 44 mag. Just can't beat straight Clays for .45acp
  14. I use N320 and Montana Gold 180's. Also used zero's with good results. I think the 320 will do you great and much cleaner than Tightgroup IMO. Try 4.0 grns N320 at 1.12 Oal should be around 158 Power factor But a better load is 4.7 grns of Hodg U-Clays at 1.12 Oal. around 162 power factor and very clean and nice feel
