  1. We all know who the douchebag is....
  2. I don't want to have to buy a race holster and pay to have it modified just to have a paperweight on the front. I'll just struggle along with my production holster (that works with all my M&P's) and non-weighted Limited M&P.
  3. SB: Nice! I have very similar setup, except I don't shoot 3-gun. I use my "tricked-out" 9L for production, and my "tricked-out" Pro 40 for limited. In all, I have 5 M&P's (9L, Pro40, Core 9mm, M&P .22 pistol, and M&P 22/15 rifle).... so I guess you can tell I like the platform very well! I shot the Pro 40 last night at my local club match, and the recoil was punishing! I have become a 9mm wimp. I can see now for myself why most shooters eventually choose the S_I platform. I will have to get used to Pro 40 again!
  4. This reminded me that Yong Lee made GM with an M&P in limited. Don't quote me on this but I think he's shooting production with a unicorn now? Yeah, but YL is a ninja.
  5. You are so right IMO. Thanks for the well thought-out reply.
  6. Also, don't forget the CORE can accommodate MANY different optics, and has co-witness iron sights as well. No brainer really.
  7. I think you are right! Good observation.
  8. I'm not really asking what mods people are doing to their guns, my questions are: why I don't see more top shooters using them in USPSA limited division?... and who is using them? I also noticed almost no top shooters were using M&P 9's in 2015 production Nationals this year.
  9. I have a beautifully set up M&P 40 for limited division...all the bells & whistles, 19 reloadable and I like it a lot. (I know I could make it 20 reloadable if I really tweaked it) I was wondering if anyone else is using an M&P in limited or even limited 10? Also wondering why I see very few top shooters (except Julie) using M&P's in ANY division these days...are they losing popularity? Thanks for any feedback!
  10. My early CORE 5" - Quadraported, flat trigger, mag well, RMR, 2 28rd big sticks, 4 23rd w/ TT basepads. Love this gun, it's great for steel! BTW - This pic was before I added the SP slide racker (less wobble) and Apex flat trigger.
  11. I did, but my 9L was an early model. The KKM barrel definitely improved my groups with factory ammo and reloads. I understand the newer factory barrels have been improved.
  12. Use plenty of oil, and a heavier recoil spring...(13-14lbs.) Problem solved!
  13. I disagree! The Apeiro is much better looking!
  14. I have a CZ 75 Shadow SA I bought from CZC. Can it be changed to DA/SA? If so, is it USPSA production legal? Thanks!.
  15. My M&P Pro .40 started dumping mags after only about 6 months of use with the factory part. Same problem...mag tab worn on mag release. I had to order an od green one from SSS because all of the black ones were sold out. My 9L is much older, and no problems.
  16. IMO, slide lightening on an M&P 9 Pro is a waste of money. Devalues the gun and just isn't necessary. It also makes the gun unusable for USPSA production division. The slide weighs what it is supposed to weigh, unless the gun is ported or compensated. Secondary recoil? Unless you are a GM...probably not enough to notice. You can run a lighter spring without carving up your gun. Just my .02 worth.
  17. I have a 9L. I run a Warren Tactical fixed .150w notch black target rear, and a Dawson .180t x .115w F.O. front. Works for me, but I'm shooting 124's. Both can be gotten at DP.
  18. I had some issues with my FFT at first, but Apex was great in working with me to get it right. Works like a charm now. I too, have an Edge, but prefer shooting my M&P 40 Pro for limited. Shooting the Edge is like dancing with a fat girl, compared to shooting my M&P!!!
  19. Randy Lee told me that the Apex FRE (which clay has) won't work properly with the extra power extractor spring. He said to use the factory spring. Only use extra powered extractor spring with OEM extractor.
  20. (Yawn...) Once again DP delivers. Great product, great service, no drama...boring. (thanks, guys )
  21. Got my Dawson fixed competition FO front, black rear sight sets today, and installed in about an hour. (Dave's video helped!) No problems. I will try them out tomorrow at the range, and then zero and loctite them. As usual, great product and great service!
  22. Sorry, but DAMN... that's a pretty gun!
  23. I have Warren/Tactical fixed sights on my .40 Limited M&P. I also put a KKM 9mm/.40 conversion barrel in it (for using cheaper 9mm ammo) and I don't notice much of a difference between the POA/POI with either barrel. I'm using 124gr 9mm and 180gr .40 S&W respectively. If you are only noticing only a few inches low at 45 feet, I would just adjust my sight picture, and go with it! Or do what Forrest Halley said: "I'd say talking to Dawson is your best bet."
