  1. Well I load just for me, and these are much better built and much stronger. To me its like the difference between a gun and a parachute, If your in real need of one, and dont have it. Most likely you wont need one later.
  2. I load on a Dillon Super 1050 Fully automatic, and I like to run at least 1,000 for each caliber 9mm & .40 S&W. My loader does 950 rounds per hour so with primer fills, and additional brass in the case feeder i spend 1 1/2 hr. Depending on shells on hand I might just load 1 K in each shell.
  3. So I ordered mine on feb 2nd got it like 3 weeks ago. The trigger was very good I felt no need to adjust it whatsoever (right at 2.5 and nice reset). I will put a mainspring housing on it as I do not like the plastic one. The grip texture was good, sights where dead on. My gunsmith and I where practicing after I had adjusted my load for some new bullets. We where shooting at a chest size target at one hundred yards. He was able to double tap it and get two hits on his first try with it (granted this was luck to get both hits). This is a great gun for 3gun in 9 and I really like it a lot. I have been looking at custom guns for this for a while and I think I got a great value on this gun for my purpose. Dawson has put up with my calls to see where I am at on the list for about 3 weeks and the estimate that they gave me on delivery was only about 2 1/2 weeks off of what they originally told me. I tried very hard not to bug them to much about it as I know they are hard to get. This gun far exceeds my expectations and is super easy to shoot. I have done nothing to it out of the box and it runs fine. As a matter of fact it runs as good as my edge that has been worked over and that I shoot in USPSA which has been the most reliable gun I have ever owned (time will tell if this is true of this gun as well but it shows all the signs of really being great). I have over 500 rounds though it now and everybody who has tried it has comented on how soft it is to shoot (again 9mm 1911's are but this is again far better then I expected). The comments on suing companies for a product that has exceeded demand on this thread are crazy. I am pretty sure that Fiat is not getting sued over the availability of the Hellcat. Everybody take a deep calming breath and either decide that you want the pistol or get something else. Thank you STI for providing another great pistol. I love all of my STI's and this is my 3rd one. I doubt I will ever sell one of them as they are all great. + 1 for my vote.
  4. I am on their FFL Dealer list. I promise you, "i am a professional" you will save money and its a very easy process. Your call. " PAY THEM NOW " - or - "PAY THEM MORE LATER"
  5. Or, contact BMX Mags, I have them for my 40 and my 9mm, You will not believe them, the are great. Not cheap, but work great.
  6. Please don't feel bad I have been putting Glock Down for many years. Still do. Looks like a good gun, plus they got some. JMHO
  7. Guys, this is true, but a guy like Gary goes way beyond the normal. He is tops.
  8. I need to know where she was going, and in such a hurry? I'd like to be there to meet her when she arrives. My wife was running out to the pool, to push me in. Sorry ! Taken
  9. Oh ! Twins.... you mean two separate girls. My bad, this is more along the line I like. http://i.imgur.com/55YEbqU.gifv The power of twins.
  10. I hold that world cup for the most primer problems on a Dillon S1050. Between Dillon and I we got this fixed. Dillon now has a new Small Primer slide bar. Instead of the little rubber vacuum hose that would not stay on the replaced it with a brass roller bearing. This is a beautiful thing. No rubbing, doubt if you can wear it out. Then here is another things I did, The primer slide bar that the arm moved forward and back has to glide like glass, very smooth. Also the channel this slides in should be polished tool marks removed and making a slick smooth surface. Making sure also that the primer 12386 bar is ok. That done has fixed my problem. Now we need someone to come forward and take the cup..... How about you.
  11. Gary, you are the best. Got my part yesterday and will have it on the press today. Hoping that fixed the issue. Like I told you on the phone. Dillon Blue id the only press to buy. Your service is number 1 Ok, I will stop before you get the big head. Thanks
  12. +1 on the primer system. Sucks. Take heart the new one with the brass roller has worked like silk, Yea!
  13. Nice!I'd be dropping mags left and right with that button you have. Lol.... What hammer is that? Sent from my LG-D850 using Tapatalk Actually, I was worried about the same thing. But after some good advise on finding the right place for my grip and hand I have never dumped one by accident. The Hammer is an SVI. If fact the 1.5# trigger, sear, bow, disconnector, firing pin, leaf spring are all SVI. It is so smooth.
  14. Well, I thought I was the only one. I have one and I use BPM mags. Custom Code 3 holster and belt.
  15. Well, Ranger Trace is my Idol as well as a fellow LEO and in Texas as well. But ny idol works for a much richer law enforcement agency then I so this is all I can afford. I do limp by.
  16. Our club, just as many others on here describe have our share of takers. Just a few dedicated guys help set up the match, and you want to be sure youre clear as soon as the last shot is fired or you could get run over by the exiting cars. Its a virus hard to kill or eradicate but there have been three times over the past twelve months that the Match Director would not set up the match till a proper number of guts were there to help. We would stop a match cold if the members of each squad did nothing, and if stage teardown was way over reasonable time then we just slowed don posting results etc. Most all he got the message, but we still have a few, and reminders are required. My opinion only, and not a humble one at that.
  17. I have already talked to a few and they confirmed once they have the parts - Two week build time. Then I stumbled on the DVC and ordered it. If the wait is to long I will prob be cancel it and I will go with some of the others and not miss the whole season because of waiting on a seemingly popular off the self gun. However, I am sure either choice I will receive a very solid gun. STI to me just loses major points by not being able to produce a product. Though I am very happy they have so many orders and wish them continued success. I was told in April - So I will not bust their chops until then. I know DP had the pre-order on their website during SHOT and it said 45 of each, that being said, I'll be patient. If not, then the STI Apiero might be my go to so I don't miss the rest of the season.Thats if you can get an Apeiro. Thanks for the advise. I got one and personall love it. Hopefully you guys will get you DVC sooner rather then later. Good Luck.
  18. I also quit using my powder check in leu of Mr. Bullet feeder. "BUT" I have a video system on my loader that I can see physically each brass shell leaving the powder drop to assure a powder drop. Personally I prefer the visual check to a maybe sound buzzer. I do agree, new loader need to learn what they are doing and how the machine works in their sleep. It makes better and safer bullets. JMHO
  19. Let hunt them down, and explain to the the way we feel. Heart to Heart. Gosh I would love that. Just Saying !
