Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I love precision delta 124 gr JHP. My glocks loved them and i hope the sti will too since i have a healthy supply. Will probably need to work up a new load (which i am not a fan off)
  2. Yup, that's the place. Nice and friendly staff. Having small kids, at least right now i cannot dedicate so much time away on a Saturday so more local matches at dpc, ntsa, elm fork will have to do.
  3. After yrs of lusting over pictures, and deciding if i want to get in into 2011 world, finnaly gave in and got it this morning! Coming from a glock world, this gun just feels solid! Few impressions, the tolerance on back of gun is tight, but some wiggle at the nose. The trigger will need lightening and polish. I plan to shoot the gun as is before i start changing things but i already know i am no fan of ambidextrous safety. Thats prob first to go. I hope to shoot it tonight. Since i live in DFW, there is a severe shortage of uspsa matches so i decided to stick with 9mm since with games i play, there is no major pf advantage. It may not be an infinity, but man is it bad ass looking! $2500 otd, one mag. Not too bad i guess, but compared to my glocks this is expensive! This is where you guys step in... Comp holster recomendations? Mags and mag pouches? The DVC maybe a better gun but I couldn't wait any longer and i am not that good to notice and aprechiate the difference.
  4. Not gonna lie, this is tempting for someone who is thinking jumping into sv world..
  5. Having shot Ken's gun, i can say it has one of the best triggers i ever felt which includes several infinities, and beats the heck of my zev glock trigger I personally like the looks of the Apeiro better since i preffer clean lines, but DVC seems more vslue for the money at the moment (at least on paper). Looking forward to some real world reviews from shooters on this forum.
  6. Or am i the only one I realized i blink recently after reading Brians book. I realized i dont see the sight moving up, nor the flame. I can shoot fast, but i guess i blink faster. It's annoying. And its limiting my improvement. I am not sure why i blink. I shoot soft shooting reloaded ammo, and shoot 2-3 matches a month for 3 yrd so i dont think its lack of experience. How do I overcome this?
  7. I tried the tape trick, did some dry fire and felt like it worked. Then shot a match and completely fell apart. So i gave up. I know i did not stuck long enough with it, so i am starting again. No question, i am faster with both eyes open, so i need to work in that. Try it and stick with it. Dont be like me- a quitter
  8. Are there two editions of the dry fire book? Which one is more recommend? Thanks
  9. I started winning local matches once i started trusting myself more and just taking more risk. I cannot call my shots 100% yet but i trust my gun more and my skill so i just go for it.
  10. Been lurking too much arounf the forums so its time to introduce myself. I enjoy competition shooting although DFW doesnt have true uspsa around here within decent drivibg distance. Not a fan of idpa, but shoot hybrid local matches 2 or 3 per month. Shoot a modified glock 17, with zev frame. I like it ok. I am actually thinking about trading my 4 od glock set for a 2011 but not sure if the 2011 would help or not. Prob not, but its something new to shoot. I also reload and that is the single best thing i ever did to help my shooting - hands down. If you are on on the fence about starting, do it. Anywho, BE forums like the premier place for pistol competition, and looking forward to learning more and contributing to the community. Thanks!
  11. Love it! That way when that first scratch happens, its nbd. Looks cool.
  12. So this begs the question- Apeiro or DVC? Similar price except for better mags. Is the sight tracker "better" then slide cuts? I used quotations since its the indian, not the arrow in most cases, but lets play here
  13. So on the website, STI says they no longer take orders for Apeirios. Have they been discontinued? I saw one today in person, and its the first one i ever saw. Edges are common. I like that barrel on Apeirio, but is it worth it over Edge? I have been shooting glocks and the 2011 are looking very very tempting...
