Just got off the phone with Lee Precision and 38 SuperComp (or regular Super) can not be re-sized and pushed through this kit as advertised because of the rim dimensions. It can be used as a standard re-sizer only.
I tried to do a test re-size with Starline 38 SuperComp and AP02 bulged brass and couldn't push it through past the rim. Of course, I didn't try to force it through the re-sizer because it appears that it would deform the rim or break the handle. Still awaiting info from Lee about compatibility.
Will Lee's Bulge Buster Kit in .380 work with removing bulges from Starline 38 SuperComp and AP02 38 Semi Rimless brass?

True or false?
Be patient he'll eventually get back to you. Many times throughout the year, he's in the Philippines for work and/or shooting big matches there so he has limited access to reply back to you.
Sv has an option for Aluminum, Stainless 416 or Steel 4140 for their grips according to their website.
Right you are... now an aluminum available from SV...
To be clear, SV only makes stainless steel grips while STI makes aluminum versions and both appear to crack for some shooters as mentioned in post #49. I currently own the STI version and so far no cracks... yet.
I've been running a STS for about 3 months now with no issues. The dot is bright, lens is glass, sight body is made of aluminum and best of all you don't have to remove the sight from your gun to replace the battery.
Does anyone know if STI officially started correcting this problem?
As for myself, I've been running an Aluminum STI grip for the last 3 months now with about 1-2K rounds on it with no signs of cracking.
Tungsten guide rod isn't the answer to reducing muzzle flip. I ran one for a whole shooting season and along with my draw, my transitions slowed down and I broke a couple of rods in the process. You need to find or adjust your load to make your comp work more efficiently. I currently run 115 Montana's with AutoComp.
I need to delete one of my classified ads and eventually re-post it at a later time with a different description and price. Can I delete the ad myself or do I need to contact the moderator?
Does anyone know if the following grip tapes below are available in various colors? If not, is there a similar product on the market that sells colored grip tape like what's offered for the SV steel grips?

Great points, Xre. It would seem that the price would definitely be considerable until demand increases which I predict will happen.
Does anyone know what type of fitting is required to fit an aluminum SVI grip to a STI frame rail?
ogiebb,
I also would be interested in getting some permanent checkering or texturizing. Where did you find this photo? From the looks of the mount, this gun was made in Asia?
