Very nice! What kind of trigger you using?
zev spring pack and gunsmith tuned. good 2 lb pull on a friend's scale. i have a glocktriggers edge in my other 34 that i use for limited minor
How's the Edge trigger does it break as light as your open? I'm using a DK Custom trigger which is great but the pull is still not as light as I want it to be.
My Zev 9 Major since I installed a SJC thumbrest. 1500 rounds so far but still need a lighter trigger, just swapped in a Zev 2.5# striker spring. Any other ideas to get a sub 2# trigger and still be reliable?
I broke a trigger pin also but due to my hot loads. Ray promptly sent me several replacement trigger pins along with a few locking block pins at no charge. I've since downloaded my loads based on my chrono's read outs. All's good now..
True, I've since contacted Zack in customer service who will replace the comp at no cost to me. The gun should arrive at Zev Tech today and should take a month to complete.
I agree, no contact between the slide and comp should occur. My Limcat's and SVI's are fitted with a slight gap between the two so no comp or thread damage may occur. The comp is also made out of aluminum so steel hitting aluminum... I'm guessing steel would win!
Yes, the crack is on top and no clearance between the slide and comp. The slide is battering the comp very hard when returning to battery. Zev machines the end of the slide to tuck into the comp which produces a clean flush look but looks like it has its draw back as you can see.
Cracked comp after only 1,200 rounds and 2 months. Trying to contact Ray at Zev Tech for a warranty fix. I've also broke a trigger pin after 600 rounds. Has anyone experienced this kind of cracking/breakage on their Zev Open?
