    Area-4

Title and description says it all......................come and enjoy watching Hopalong make an ASS out of himself trying to reload into the grip, and trying to shoot 20 times without a reload. See you there. Hopalong
  2. Yeah Dave, Take a crow bar to him kinda Tanya Harding style..........gotta make it pretty even between him and I next week.......him with a banged up leg and me with a bad Hip(and head to go with it) Have fun down there, see some of you in 2 weeks. Hop
  3. MM, Can't believe you are going to A-6 when you can shoot your own sectional in your home town the same days ! It'll be fun whippin up on the rest of them Arkansas homies !!!! Sorry you can't be there to get your part of it! Will catch up to you at A-4. Hop
  4. Well it doesn't look very impressive at all, Kind of disheartening really. Alabama..........................3 out of 91( usually half a dozen or so) Double Tap......................0 out of 200+ Don't know why but this has never drawn more than 3 Florida State.....................3 out of 197....don't know the history much but seems like it has been more in the past South Carolina.................11 out of 210 (more like it) Space City.......................5 out of 200+ Those are major matches already shot this year. Self-Sqadding shows: A-4...............................4 out of 119 entered A-5...............................6 missed the total entered A-6...............................7 out of 300+ A-7...............................12 again forget the numbers entered so far With other matches starting to squad but very few wheelgunners in them too! Now I am beginning to understand the answer to all the questions of why? and where are all the wheelgunners I have posted in the past. I know gas prices is not helping for sure, but seems like the match numbers are the same but revo division numbers are down for the first part of the year. Just an observation, I may be way off here..........have been before.

    The Fish

Go Get EM fish !!!! Hop Oh and use all that good luck and carma up before you come get your butt whippin in ARKANSAS !!!!
  6. Close Cliff ! If I can remember that far back, it seems it was 20 something and all A's.........except that US popper in the far back left................ Will have all kinds of devious and interesting "tests" this year. Nuckles, you had better show back up. Hopalong
  7. I'll be designing a stage again for this one!!! I can't promise anything except it will be just as fun as last years.................Minus it kicking my ass!!! In case any of you forgot my stage from last year.........It was the ELVIS stage where you shot the TV ! .......oh and had a star and some other stuff. Hopalong
  8. Way to go Shane!!! I don't feel so bad after the whippin you put on me at Memphis the other day now! Hopalong
  9. Bill, Welcome and please let us know about any and all Revolver accented shoots you know of. Unfortunately for me, I can not make it on the 29th but I sure hope those that can do. Hopalong
  10. Crossroads Sport shooting assn. USPSA multigun........quarterly Memphis Sport shooting assn. USPSA multigun............every 5th Sunday. both matches usually run 50+ pistol, 50+ rifle, and just a little less shotgun. Hop
  11. Talked to John a couple of weeks ago, he said numbers are down. I can see that as I know of 2 that are shooting another division, and 4 others that are not returning for one reason or another. I do know that there should be around 6 signed up right now and that several others are trying to see if they can swing it. I myself am shooting in Limited this year. I have a little unfinished business to attend to that has been sitting on the shelf the last 3 while I shot Revo. (Sorry) I can tell you for sure that the State champion title will be hotly contested within the ranks so you Mississippi guys better be practicing. I also have noticed a little drop off in the wheelgunners in some of the other matches that have self squadding.........A-6, A-4, Space City to name the most obvious. I can't say much since I have not shot mine since last years Nationals but I'm like Carmoney and won't be too much longer on the flat guns. This match has always been a blast to shoot with a wheelgun and I know I will miss the fun and the challenge of it, will be a little envious watching you guys bump elbows. Hopalong
  12. Was watching Golf on TV today, they were interviewing Jerry Kelly( leader at South Carolina) and asked him about the Olympic shooter? He(Kelly) has been working with Lanny Basham to improve his Golf game........pretty cool to see it mentioned on TV (and Kelly didn't go into any details). Good for you Mr. Basham! Hopalong
  13. Mark, It is just so easy to use one of them. It goes like this........... LAMR, R U Ready? Standy Bye.........Beep. Draw, aim(sometimes) bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, click... (insert a few colorful words here) reload and do it again! Will be plenty of chances to do this and many other exciting things at the MS classic, even if you don't shoot a wheel blaster. Looking forward to it myself. See ya there. Hopalong
  14. Nemo, As our skills and SELF CONFIDENCE grow it takes little learning "Escapades" like this to prove to ourselves what we thought or did not think. Take it and run. When I decided that I could shoot with "the big dawgs" I kept this philosophy.............. "I may not be the BEST here, but I will do my BEST!!!! and when the BEST stumbles I will have BESTED them!" And Alamo...... Knowing Nemo, He is that guy! ( GREAT Father, Husband, friend, person) Hopalong
  15. Well I waited long enough for Troy to get it. But I'll add my 2 cents worth................ Thanks to all who take the time to set up stages for all to shoot! .................BUT........................ Check the rulebook!!!! And yes, I goof up on this stuff too! Hopalong
  16. Well maybe not Drinking, but since last December after a bout of Sinus infection with clogged ears have had pressure change that at times even caused ringing and a weird feeling like swimmers ear. Have been to the DR but not a Ear DR, am on anti biotics again and an occasional Decadron shot but damn things keep giving me grief. Shooting doesn't seem to bother them (left is worse) but the harmonics off the exhast of my Motor Cycle and a few other things can actually be painfull. Really pisses me off since the Motor cylce gets more than 3 times the MPG as my truck and Gas is going up again Have deliberately laid off shooting except the club match and testing as a precaution to keep from hearing damage. Any body else have had similar troubles? What did you do to fix? Hopalong

    Sleep Apnea

Pretty sure I have it too. Have been putting it off for a while but think I'll "Bite the Bullet" and go get tested. Hopalong
  18. 41mag, Yes the Kimber loads are Winchester large Pistol, and that is exactly the ideal. That way I can have YEARS worth of MATCH LOADS with FEDERAL primers! And the 2-3 pound pull would most likely be single action, or just what he thinks is 2-3 lbs. Hopalong
  19. Since I have at least 2 years worth of Federal Primers I'm not too worried about this for me. But just goofing off because of this thread I tried some of my loaded ammo for the Kimber in my 25-2 that is sitting on a 6 lbs DA trigger pull. Out of the 50 I shot, 49 went bang the first time, the other did not go bang at all no matter how many times I tried with the 25. I did go the first time in the Kimber though. When I was shooting a 610 with small pistol primers, I practiced with Win Small pistols and had to keep it at near 8 lbs to get 100% on the Winchesters. Just my experiance, others will have differences. Hopalong
  20. If it gets any better than the Alabama match you'll never be able to top it! (Weather wise) Bring sunscreen for Cliffs legs though. I'd be willing to bet that Nemo won't need any!!! Hopalong

So Whiskers..................... You gonna come get a butt whippin in Little Rock? "Training" looks good, glad and proud for you. Keep it up!!!! Hopalong
  22. Yes, A very happy birthday to our HOST, and the host of others also enjoying said day! Hopalong
  23. MC223, Hello and welcome to the BE. forums, yep we think it is kind of nice too! There are all kinds of "Special" people here To answer your question. Yes, you can shoot in Area-3, or any other USPSA match any where. They are all run based on the same rules(That is what makes this sport so great). You may shoot club level matches without being a member of USPSA, but to shoot a state championship or some other matches similar to that and bigger you must be a member of USPSA (Just ask at the club you go shoot for more info). Glad to have you back with us, have fun and shoot safe. Hopalong
  24. Good QUESTION !!!! I would like to think that last years "problem" was just that..........last years problem. Hopalong
  25. Happy Birthday Yamil !!!! Hopalong
