  1. Sounds good. I've got a LMT MRP upper coming in June, hopefully. Also in 6.8 SPC. Will go on a RRA lower that has been waiting very patiently.
  2. You're welcome. Glad to hear the video came out good. It can be a challenge sometimes to get something other than the shooters back, while avoiding RO's
  3. Okay, you twisted my arm. Here's mine: Remington 700P in .308 with a Springfield scope. Nothing fancy, but I got a helluva deal on it.
  4. Here's the one pic I took: My camera didn't even leave my bag Saturday while I was shooting, and Sunday I ended up running the video camera for a friend shooting with Matthew.
  5. I have to give a big thanks to the "Cop Squad" for a letting a non-LEO, me, shoot with them It's always fun to shoot with those guys. I was runnig the video camera for a friend Sunday, and Matthew Mink was in his squad. Really nice guy, as is Manny Bragg. Looking forward to his class later this month. The great RO's and staff made for a great match, and I'm looking forward to next year.
  6. its grass - be sure to bring cleets... hopefully it doesn't rain Bring something without cleats also. There's one stage where smoother soles will be better.
  7. I'm signed up for some classes Manny will be teaching here in Houston, and I can't wait!
  8. Both Chuck's link above and the link on the first page aren't working, at least for me they're not
  9. When I switched from righty to lefty I played around with what finger to use to hit the mag release. The trigger finger just seemed to work better for me. This is on a 1911. We'll see what happens when I start shooting a widebody.
  10. I'm thinkin' "Sharyns video, and she's not in it", and guess what appears out of the box Nice vid. Loaded quickly for me.
  11. Shot this last night, L-10. 51 points in 8.39 secs. Reload could have been better. OCC came back with 65%. Hopefully enough to get me to B.
  12. I work part-time in a gun store, and a guy came in today, said he had some reloading stuff he wanted to get rid off. I asked what it was, and he said it was all shotgun stuff. "What kind of powder is it?" I asked. Whaddaya know, it was a 4lb jug of Clays, which I am using right now. "How much do you want for it", I asked? "Nothing." SWEET!
  13. Excellent idea! I would volunteer getting in touch with her to suggest it, as I know her personal trainer. Unfortunately, he hates me, so I don't think I'll get very far In the meantime, I voted for Cathy and the Ford GT. Bought the poster when it came out too.
  14. SA with Dawson Precision FS, S&A magwell, Ed Brown ambi safety, Aftec extractor, Alumagrips with Eric W's grip tape, and trigger work by Eddie Jimenea.
  15. Shot this last night. Start on the left side/strong side, shoot outside in, reload fairly smooth, outside in on the right (the IDPA in me is showing ) Don't remember exactly, but mostly C's in 9.7xx secs. Hit factor of 4.911, good for 54.56% according to the Classifier calculator. Not bad considering lately I've been royally screwing up classifiers, but not enough to move up to B. Next time...
  16. I'm shooting a 1911 just like yours, with a few mods and tweaks for shooting L10. Currently I am running a 14lb recoil spring with a shok-buff. I am going to try a 13lb spring soon-ish. If it helps any, I'm shooting 230gr JHP on 4gr of Clays.
  17. Saw the sequel today, great movie. Kate is smoking , and the ending left plenty of room for Part III. Which is just fine with me. The DVD will join the collection the day it is released.
  18. My VEPR. Probably the best money I've ever spent on a firearm.
  19. When I was shopping for cleats I started with the cheapest ones on the shelf. After trying them on, I realized there was no way I would want to wear them all day. Moved along to where the shoes got a little more spendy, and found the Adidas Quickslant. Very comfy, lots of traction, under $50, and they make me look good, which is the main thing
  20. Why would you pick one over the other? I shoot my 1911's with whatever triggers they came with, I'm guessing they're short. I don't have big hands, but I have long fingers. I ask because hopefully in the not to distant future I'm going to get a Limited gun built, and this is an option. While I'm at it, what's the thinking behind the half curved triggers I see?
  21. Okay, so I was only shooting against two others, and one of them got DQ'ed. But a win is a win, right? Next up, winnnig with 3 or more in L10
