Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Do guys find out what classifiers are going to be shot at local matches so they can practice them beforehand ? Is this legal/ethical ?
  2. From what I've read on the USPSA website it seems like they aren't concerned with people knowing the high power factors becuase they will use that to sandbag. What the USPSA is concerned with is other shooting sports (IPDA) getting free access to high power factors. I spent an hour last night calculating the high power factors for 6 stages in an attempt to find out what class I will be in. If I could only get numbers for 99-30 and 99-51 I could know for sure if I am a C or D. The suspense is killing me.
  3. Steve, thanks for posting how to get the high power factors. I couldn't figure out how you could get them. I just sat here for an hour looking up the 8 classifiers that I shoot in the last 3 weeks tring to figure out what class I will be in. Unfortuntly I can't find any production scores so I did the math based on limited class (I shoot production). My average is 33.3% of the top limited scores. Do you think in production this will make me a C shooter ?
  4. I think production class IPSC is great. However I have no interest whatsoever in ever shooting Limited or Open. All I want to do is shoot the same guns that I'd use to defend myself. It seems like everyone thinks that the production division is like the minor league of IPSC. Are there any other shooters out there like me who never intend on shooting Limited or Open ?
  5. I joined USPSA and shot a special match with 4 classifiers on sunday. I can't wait to find our what class I'm in. I won the production division. There were only 5 production shooters however.
  6. Production 40 cal Glock 54 points 16.82 seconds 3.21 hf
  7. Production 40 cal Glock 52 points 17.68 seconds 2.94 hf
  8. Production 40 cal Glock 52 points 17.88 seconds 2.9 hit factor
  9. Thanks guys for all the quick replies to my question. I thought I was right, you can load 10 + 1 in production class. By the way I just got the results of the match and I won production division ! Granted there were only 5 production shooters. but this was only my second ever IPSC match and the other one was 2 years ago.
  10. Cleats are great if shooting on grass. I saw a guy wearing cleats at my first match, that gave me the idea so I wear them to matches now. I picked up a pair of cleats a few years ago bec they were only $10. Thought I'd use them some day for softball. Never thought I'd end up using them for shooting LOL.
  11. Can you load a 10 round mag PLUS put one it the chamber to start a stage ? An RO stopped me from doing so.
