  1. That's what I'm trying to point at. I know that modifying the barrel on a non-ramp ,getting a sweet spot on the OAL and feed lips will will get it running ok with semi-wad cutters . But won't it be even better with a ramped barrel ?
  2. I'm thinking it should. Even when my Kimber doesnt FTF with RN bullets, i notice a small shave off the bullet( cast ) that cuts from the bottom of the ramp. That has to slow the slide somewhat at some point.
  3. I don't mind getting a 9mm. The two extra rounds and cheaper ammo is sweet . And I do hit a lot of A's annyways. Just took overal Limited with my G34 this weekend ( local match of 56 shooters). Hmmmmm.
  4. Looking to get a Single Stack division gun. Maybe a .40 or .45 . Trojan or Spartan . I see the Trojan has a ramped barrel. Would that be better as far as feeding and wider range of bullet profiles? I currently have a .45 Kimber and it runs flawless only with RN bullets and the gun doesn't sport a ramped barrel.
  5. POA/ POI don't work for me . Not even 6 o'clock . Try the Hybrid http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=143044&pid=1607181&st=0entry1607181
  6. To my understanding, when a shooter wins a state championship, he/she gets a slot(then 2nd ,3rd ,etc. -- to a given ammount per state/club) 1.Can the slot application be held until proof of a flight itinerary is given? 2.Does the slot have to be passed down the line to the next shooter down?
  7. N320 for all your pistol And Varget for all your rifle
  8. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nm9uG5bPubw I like this .......
  9. I've also saw a video that TJ also said not to chase a target . But for some reason I ALWAYS chase it . I dont seem to have a problem doing so, so i just stick to it. I dont even add insurance shots. To add, I prefer the swinger to be fast instead of trying to activate early like other shooters do. MY problem is i dont know how to explain to my son or other shooters when they ask me the proper way to engage swingers.
  10. The older ( pre-2009) that were brass like in color seemed to be way softer which my Glocks liked . The silver colored small pistol primers now are much harder. I use them only on my 2011's.
  11. I sort mines same reasons as Sarge . Also to add : - brass wall thickness differs . Thin walls will set-back jacketed bullets to shorter OAL while feeding ( u-die fixes this) . Lead bullets are ok because of +.001 diameter . - primer pockets has different fit for primers . For example: WIN brass don't like Fed SP primers . I would crush 10 of 100. So I use Fed brass with Fed SP primers . And the WIN brass with Winchester SP . And both primers fit nice with CBC brass . Speer seems to have a loose fit for any primers. That goes in a recycle bin. This is what I see : Those who are anal and consistent with there ammo, are consistent and serious about their shooting, shoot and score at a higher level.
  12. Do you crimp your ammo? My 55 gr fmj's have a cannelure and I wasn't sure if I would get better results with or without a crimp. Yep. Not too much though ..
  13. 550 works great for me for .223 . I'm using 24gr H335 behind a 55gr MG . One inch groups @ 100yds thru a 14" barrel AR that I use in multigun. Just as accurate as my dads 24" Les Baer AR.
  14. The aftermarket barrels are no good. Send me yours so I can dispose of it for you
  15. oh ok . well maybe ill just do two targets in a stage . didnt plan on covering all targets. unlike the bags on rainy days . thx spelling
  16. Im stage designer this weekend. Just wondering if putting a tshirt over a USPSA or CLASSIC target is legal .
  17. .40 arredondo followers? the red ones? ETA
  18. 9mm with a .40 breechface ?
  19. Are you using the fixed rear Dawson Charger? If so then the impact your getting is what i want( using the .195 front ) Yes, I have the fixed rear Dawson Charger (with the .145" width) to get the current 2" high at 25 yard POI. OK Thanks ! I'm going for the .125 notch rear and the .125 wide front.
  20. What is a hybrid point of aim? I have never heard that term before. Lower than POA/POI but higher than the 6'oclock (sorry, had to give it some kind of name) . I tried them both .But really like the "in between" .
  21. Are you using the fixed rear Dawson Charger? If so then the impact your getting is what i want( using the .195 front )
  22. Got a G17 with MMC adj. rear and a Dawson .160 h x .145 w FO front . Im changing it to the Charger fixed rear .125 notch . Recomended is the .205 h for the front. i like the Hybrid point of aim versus center or 6'oclock. Anyone using the .195 front ? What is the impact for the G17 with the .205? Factory barrel: 124 MG CMJ 4.2 N320 1.130 oal Fed Sp KKM barrel: 145 RN cast 3.3 W231 1.140 Fed SP 124 Lee cast 3.8 W231 1.080 oal Fed Sp Havent been adjusting sights when swapping loads and barrels. Impacts pretty close if not the same.
  23. Ideal ? I would say NO . Two years ago i experimented with this concept . On my 2011 open gun i had a molded piece glued to the frame to fill the gap between the grip and my trigger finger. And when im shooting limited or production i'd tape a molded piece to my trigger finger. I dont use it anymore. Dont need it. Use the money for more ammo.
  24. BOOST

    Only ONE GLOCK

Glock 17 -lower cost of ammo -higher capacity -big big big smile after winning Limited division ( aren't we suppose to hit Alphas anyways? )
