  1. Doe's anyone use Practiscore for three gun scoring? Thanks Bill
  2. If you use a Racemaster Holister with a 1911 block it will work with the Para. I use the 1911 block and it rocks, I thinks it more secure than the WSM.
  3. Working fine on my end. THANKS LIVESHOTS for the making the work day bearable!!!
  4. Does anyone know of a target manufacture in the Midwest for steel challenge and other steel targets? Thanks Bill
  5. + for Double Alpha Racemaster been using it for years in open and limited and 3 gun. Never a problem!
  6. I have purchased several guns from this forum and all the transactions have gone super smooth and well represented.
  7. My vote is for the Merrell Chameleon water proof. I wear a size 15 and they don't make the Salamon in my size.
  8. I shot area 3 match last weekend and did not have one issue with my gun and it felt awesome that the guy on my squad having issues with a open gun was not me!! I did place a order for a new open gun this week to shoot as a primary gun for 2014. I'm done shooting for this year cause of hip replacements this fall so I thought that now is the time to purchase a brand new one.
  9. Dex what bullet are you shooting with that recipe?
  10. Ran out of my normal powder Ramshot True Blue and found some Winchester Auto Comp and see that they just a few spots apart on the burn list. Having trouble finding load data for major in my super. I was shooting 8.1 Gr True Blue with a Montana Gold 124 JHP and running about 174 power factor which my gun loves. Looking for a starting point with the new powder. Thanks
  11. I have owned both and settled on the DA Racemaster because I feel that is more secure than the ghost. I had my gun come out on a 3 gun stage with the ghost and never went back.
  12. Does any body know if Mitchell's right side release will work in the new style STI aluminium grip? Thanks
  13. I had no issue with the new style aluminum grip from STI and the sear spring that is already had in the gun. I have about 3000 round through the pipe with out even the smallest hick up. The prices that other manufactures are trying to justify for a metal grip is just CRAZY!!!!
  14. I think it is the Cat's meow it is just a little bit narrower than the polymer and the fit was absolutely incredible. I'm not a gunsmith but I installed it with out any problem. There is not any flex in the grip that I felt while shooting polymer. As far as the weight it feels that it is a little lighter than the polymer. Sound crazy but I shot a buddies 9 major gun on Tuesday and it felt heavier than my super, it's probably in my head. I shoot Para for a limited gun and the aluminium grip on my open gun feel a lot like the Para. I love so much that if I owned more STI 2011's that they all would have one!
  15. Just a update we found that the grip that the previous gun smith that to me to the cleaners installed a grip that the sear spring pocket was way out of spec allowing the spring to work it's way out the pocket. I replaced the grip with the STI aluminium and have no problem with the gun since. I think the new STI aluminium grip rocks and don't me polymer grip again anytime soon. Sorry for the delay. Bill
  16. +1 on the extra ammo I went to the Big Dawgs steel match in 2010 and did not have enough ammo and had to borrow some just to complete the match! Good luck on your endeavors in the future.
  17. Is anybody using the triple ghost mag pouch set up looking at them online and they like a good deal for the money?
  18. New to Single Stack and looking for a legal holster to compete with in USPSA single stack division. Need advice on what people are using because I don't have time to do the research for my self. Thanks in advance for you thoughts.
  19. Went to Hunter Customs to pick up my gun and found that the previous gun smith to me to the cleaners. One of the problems what that the hammer, sear, and dis connector were not replaced but I was charged for by the other company. Bob changed the parts and found that the new STI grip that the other company installed is not right. The groove that holds the sear spring is twice the size of other grips allowing the spring to fall off the sear. Bob is a great guy and will be back to Hunter Customs is I need any more work done.
  20. +2 on the Voo Doo bag been running with mine since last year and no complaints.
  21. Welcome pay attention to the good shooters in your area and learn from them. You will benefit greatly and meet a lot of great people. Good luck on future matches.
