  1. +1 on Protacall Designs his sight system is on all my Revos.
  2. Here in Kansas we had above average shooter count at the Jan and Feb USPSA matches but I think the ammo crunch will affect the rim fire steel matches that they have weekly until the hoarders let some ammo sit back on the shelves and the price's come back to normal.
  3. The 550 is the perfect progressive press to start out with you will have years of great use out of it. I have to one for small primer and one for large primer and they are awesome!!
  4. Went to Hunter Customs and met with Bob who is a super nice guy and he determined that the work that was performed last September was not completed to any kind of standard that the gunsmith was known for. Therefore I left the gun to order parts and get the the gun fixed correctly. If parts are available I should not miss a match with it. I will let everybody know when I get it back and thanks so much for the reference that got me in touch with Bob at Hunter Customs.
  5. Off to see Bob at Hunter Customs. Will let everybody know how it goes.
  6. No this is not my 1911 platform I have shot limited for years with my Para. This is the first race gun adventure and might be my last if I can't get a grip on this.
  7. Thanks Marty will try to give Bob a call this afternoon.
  8. The grip screws are tight. The gun is a M.E.G Custom which I believe used to be Chris Tilley. All the internal parts were supposedly replaced with a new grip last September and it doesn't have 1000 rounds down the pipe since the repair.
  9. Thanks 818 Warren is a very good friend of mine but he doesn't do this kind of work.
  10. I have a STI custom built 38 super which was originally built buy Chris Tilley that I bought used last year. After I purchased the gun I found that it had issues. The hammer was following and I sent the gun to someone that shall remain nameless. After shipping the gun to Texas several times and pay out the you know what for some one to throw parts in it and still have the same problem with the gun less than 5 months of getting the gun back. I don't know what to do I have no faith in the person that supposed of fixed it. Looking for advice who to send it to that won't keep the gun for months and ruin my entire season. I live in Kansas City and would travel to see a quality gunsmith that could possible fix on the spot. If anyone knows somebody that they would recommend please for me the information. Thanks

  20. My wife had never shot a gun till after we were married and thank god she didn't like all that well. She wanted to learn how to shoot to defend herself just in case. She is coming around slowly but surely. Our five year annversary is this Saturday and she is taking a CCW class. She tolerates my competive shooting but does think it getting out of control trying to shoot one match every weekend. There are good ones out there just might take a while to find one. Good luck and take your time and make the right choice.
  21. They have the best customer service in the shooting business .
