Ah...didn't know that. I assumed "short" meant short!

According to Henning's site, they are coming out with a short trigger version in September. So I'm wondering about the internals more than anything. I emailed Henning about this, but haven't received any answer.

Does anyone know if the Henning flat trigger will fit in the Witness Compact?

I snagged the last one at my local Dick's early Black Friday morning. Serial #364, so I got one of the first 500. Troy mags drop with no problem, as well as aluminum mags. Pmags won't drop, but the other features make up for that. Love the Alpha rail! I took it off today to add a rail piece and it was a snap to get on and off. I added a JP trigger/hammer/spring set that I already had. Overall, it's a nice rifle. Much lighter than my current AR.

Do you mind revealing your bullet source? $34/k is a really good price.

Wow. That's not good if I have to order parts! Yeah you go onto his web shop, order parts, pay, then they show up on your doorstep in a couple days. Trust me I've done this many times... +1. Not only do I receive parts very quickly, but every time I have emailed Henning I get a response usually within 24 hours. I just emailed him last week and got an answer to my question the next morning. That's good service in my book!

Need a little direction. My Henning trigger in my Witness Match 9mm has started to bind up, making it sticky to pull and even stickier to reset. I've read up on a couple of threads here and it seems the trigger plunger is the issue. I have shortened the existing spring by cutting off one loop and it seems to have cured the problem. (I'm open to any other advice!) Now I would like to replace the trigger plunger spring. Henning has 4 springs listed - 19#, 20#, 21# 22#. Are they different lengths, or just different weight or resistance? How do I know which one I should choose? They are all listed for light loads, which is what I shoot with this gun. Thanks in advance for any help you can give!

Worth it? Yup. Combine it with a good comp and it'll make your rifle feel like a different rifle.

+1 on Hell on Wheels. I've never seen Anson Mount in anything else, but he's good in this. The cable networks are doing some great programming - Breaking Bad, Hell on Wheels, The Killing, The Walking Dead...all on AMC. Plus Justified and Sons of Anarchy on FX.

Yes. Don't waste your money! The problem is you can't get a tight enough fit because you can't force the foam into the ear canal far enough. If you want plugs, get them custom molded at a hearing aid facility or find someone who does the E.A.R. custom plugs.

Fortunately we have two local shooters that decided to become certified to make the E.A.R. instamold plugs because there was no one making "good quality" plugs locally. http://www.earinc.com/p1-nonelectronic-instamold.php I just got a set of the E.A.R. plugs from a guy at our local gun show. The cost was $60 and they're great.

+1 on the JP. Installed it myself with no problems. Very light and crisp trigger.

+1 on the padded VTAC. I've got a different reason for using the VTAC. Being kind of on the short side (5' 5") I needed something that would cinch up the gun when not in use so that it didn't hit me in the knees. The VTAC met that need.

+1 on Nitrile gloves. Cheap way to avoid high lead content.

Yup! I've had the Witness now for a year and I love it.

I've used mine in local competitions with absolutely no problems. Love it and recommend it!
