  1. Sorry, the pic didn't attach. Let's try that again.
  2. I'm still fairly new to reloading and this is a new problem to me. I'm getting an indentation on the top of lead bullets. Obviously the seating die is causing this somehow, but I'm stumped at this point. I just finished off 100 rds. of 147 gn. flat nose without any issue. Then when I switched to 125 gn. elliptical nose I started getting the indentation on the tops of the bullets. I'm loading at an OAL of 1.125. I've attached a photo of one of the bullets and would appreciate any advice.
  3. Have you sold the belt yet? If not, I'm definitely interested.

  4. Well, not exactly. But it is the spring designed for light 9mm loads.
  5. Since replacing my recoil spring with a 6 lb. Wolff from Henning, every time I do a mag change the slide lock releases, chambering the first round. I'm thinking this isn't normal because it didn't happen until I replaced the spring. Anybody else experience this?
  6. Best price I've found recently on 9mm lead bullets - Unique Precision Bullets. I've been through 1000 of the 125's and they seem to load and shoot well.
  7. I just changed out my barrel with a new Lilja-Nordic barrel with a mid-length gas system, Kies adjustable gas block and a Miculek compensator. The difference is amazing. I would highly recommend that you make those changes!
  8. I just put this barrel in my AR. Seems very accurate so far.
  9. Love Sons! This season that just ended was the best yet. Also a huge Justified fan. And I agree that the cable networks are putting out some great TV.
  10. I just put 500 Missouri Bullet 9mm 125 gn. through my Witness Match without a problem.
  11. Just a heads up: Grafs has a sale on primers right now. 5000 Magtech Small Pistol primers $99.00. https://www.grafs.com/retail/catalog/product/productId/11073
  12. OK, so it has to come out. Getting it out doesn't look that hard, but getting it back in looks a little intimidating. Thanks for the suggestions Dan and Nealio.
  13. Sorry, too man holes...too many cliches...I'm bailing out!
  14. Just tried again. No go. It looks like it's hanging up on the spring.
  15. Thanks Dan. I had tried backing it out, but it hangs up and won't back all the way out. So I thought maybe the trigger had to be removed. I'll try again!
  16. One thing I love about the Witness Match is the adjustable trigger. I really like to have the ability to set it up the way I like it. However, the pre-travel screw won't stay put. It is suggested that Blue Loctite be used to hold it solid, but how do you get the Loctite on it? Does the trigger have to be removed?
  17. Made the final decision tonight. I ordered the Lilja/Nordic barrel from Nordic Components: http://shop.nordiccomp.com/Lilja-Nordic-AR-Rifle-Barrel-Stainless-16-BBL-223-16M-LN.htm I'm going to try the Kies adjustable gas block if I can find one in stock somewhere, along with the rifle length YHM customizable Free Float forend. Thanks for all the input!
  18. OK, let's throw one more thing into the mix - 223 Wylde or 556 chambering? From what I'm reading, shooting 223 in a 556 chamber is a little less accurate. How much less though? Will it make any difference in 3 gun style competition?
  19. Yeah, when you click on the order box it takes you to a message page that says they are out of stock. I've got an email in to them to double check and find out when they might be in stock again. So what you're saying is the difference between the 16" and 18" is negligible? That's interesting because the prevailing thought on this forum, as well as others, seems to be that the rifle length 18" is a softer set up. I've been looking at the Kies gas block and the Miculek comp too. I would be interested in hearing more about your experience with the Kies.
  20. I looked at the PSA's too, but they're not in stock. Barrels of all shapes and sizes are out of stock everywhere it seems. So how are follow up shots with the 16"? Are you saying you're running adjustable gas on the 16?
  21. So here's what it seems to be boiling down to: Loki Weapons System 18" Fluted barrel, 1x8, rifle length, 223 Wylde. http://www.lokiweaponsystems.com/products/m4-ar-15-stainless-barrel/
  22. I wish I had the $$ for JP or Noveske, but I don't. Trying to keep it under $300. I have emailed Wilson Arms, but have not heard back from them yet. Plus, I understand that RR barrels are made by Wilson and they seem to be much more accessible. As for the 16 vs. 18 debate, I've read lots of opinions. Tell me yours....
  23. So, after some more research it seems that the 1X8 twist is probably the way to go, as you suggest. Rock River Arms has a 16" SS barrel with 1x8 twist that looks pretty good. http://www.rockriverarms.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=category.display&category_id=274 Anybody have any experience with RR barrels?
  24. I've searched high and low on the forum for any advice or opinions about Wilson Combat barrels. I know there's a difference between Wilson Arms and Wilson combat, and the opinions of Wilson Arms seem to be pretty good. So what about Wilson Combat? I'm getting ready to rebuild my AR, starting with a new barrel - 16" mid length, preferably light weight. They're few and far between right now, as barrels seem to be sold out everywhere. The Wilson Combat barrel linked below would fit the bill, but I know nothing about Wilson Combat's barrels. So....opinions? Advice? http://shopwilsoncombat.com/Match-Grade-Barrel-556-NATO-Lightweight-16-1-9-Twist-Stainless/productinfo/TR-556LW16-19/
  25. What are you shooting in it? I know my SLP is a soft shooter unless I load up with magnum slugs, and then it kicks the dickens out of me.
