  1. The Robar finish is called NP3 which combines teflon with electroless nickel. Very slick stuff. A few years (OK, more than a few) back they had a special promotion going on. They would plate your mags with NP3 for a nominal cost. Ken

    Cannon ND

I bet that will leave a mark. Kendall
  3. Helweg pouches for a Glock work well if you loosen them up a bit. Tactical or competition both work. Kendall
  4. Went past this morning, up to 11 rows of 130's. That's just what you can see from the road. There may be more over the horizon. (Neal, I even got to ride in one once, to Lajes AB) Kendall

    RUUUUUUUUUNN !

When I first heard this joke, the last to knock was a gorilla! Ken
  6. 9.2g 3N38 124fmj out of a 5.5 bbl no pop holes gives me 172 PF. YMMV. Good point to start at. Ken
  7. Remington 11-87 with extended tube and sidesadle. If I need to .45 w/ Black Talon. Ken
  8. Para P-16 w/tungsten guide rod and S&A mag well 43+ oz. Ken
  9. For cold weather environments I would suggest MILITEC weapons lube. Ken
  10. Cherryriver, Try firing over a different chrono and see what kind of results you get. It may be a chronograph problem. Ken
  11. I just drove by on my way to work. There are at least 8 rows of KC-130's at DM today. Kendall
  12. +1 On the VVN320/147 Zero's (jhp/fmj) no problems here. I'm just guessing here, check your crimp. Ken
  13. BTDT, alloy frames do not stand up well to high volume shooting that we do in this sport. My first IPSC/USPSA had an alloy frame. I shot it so much the holes where the pins go through the frame became elongated and eventually had to "retire" the frame because no one could do a proper trigger job. Alloy frames are designed to be carried a lot, not shot a lot. My .02 Kendall
  14. Be careful with the N310 with that heavy a bullet. Kb's are not fun. (Don't ask me how I know this). Ken
  15. cnemikeman, Sometimes the table thingy that the primer bar that is attached to the shell plate comes loose. If those screws come loose you will notice the shell plate dragging when you rotate the shell plate to the next position. Tighten those screws up with allen wrenches (there a bi*ch to get at). I can only speak about a 550 but it may apply to your 650 presses too. Hope this helps. Ken
  16. Looks like once the 147's are used up im switching to 124's also. Ken
  17. +1 for Belt, holster and pouches for each division. Sometimes deciding which division to shoot in is the hardest question. I don't know if you can use race gear for PSSD, I haven't tried it yet. Ken
  18. What would you want done if you had lost a pistol? +1 to turning it in. (Make sure you call first and tell them your comming in with a loaded pistol). Ken
  19. Any automatic/quartz/mechanical analog watch with a chronograph and date complication should do nicely. I don't like digital watches because you can't tell time when the watch is in the chronograph mode. Quartz is nice because you don't have to reset the watch after the power reserve has worn out and the watch stops. There are a lot of "tool" watches out there. Sinn makes a chronograpn/date/GMT watch that's considered a tool watch. Sinn is in Germany. Ken
  20. I was thinking of switching from 147's to 124's myself. Let us know of your progress. Ken
  21. SLM, Take it back and trade for N330. If that's not an option, start at 3.9g and work your way up. Myself, I prefer N320 for 147's of course that's just me. YMMV. Ken
  22. George, I think you're right. thanx Ken
  23. The loaded cartridge fits in the gage OK. It just looks too short (to me). The bullet is seated such that the ogive portion of the bullet is the only part that's exposed. The shank portion is completly seated and not exposed. I guess I'm used to seeing more of the shank exposed. Case mouth diameters are: WWB .375, AE .376, 147 Zero .377. Bullet dia: .356 (I thought 9mm bullets were .355.). I think I will load to 1.135 and skip the case gage for now. As long as they fit in the mag I should be good to go. Thanks for the insight. Ken
