  1. I also use Clay's for all 3; great powder and living in Houston, there's no concerns about cold temps
  2. 3.8gr Clays at 1.25OAL; works great in all my 1911's
  3. Since I use only one powder, I always leave it in the hopper; I normally will have another session within a day or so, even a short one.
  4. I load 3.6 grains of Clays, 230 gr FMJ's and use the stock XDm 45 spring
  5. Breaking a 650 primer indexing arm and having to wait 3 days to get it.
  6. I used my new VB yesterday and it works; not fantastic but it works; there were a couple of hangups but it appears that was due to some really strangely shaped Federal primers; I tried it on both small and large and filled several tubes for later. I'm happy with the $52 units I got and have sold one of them to a fellow member; I still have 2 others coming with no estimated delivery date. Still beats the old fashioned way of loading em up!
  7. spoke with David this morning; they are 'shipping' only right now but are working to get local pickup soon; that will be nice for us who are close. Seems like a very nice guy. Thanks OP for the link
  8. Not that good; ended up selling it to a neighbor for a little over what I paid! Tryin to be a good neighbor
  9. Picked up the casefeeder; NIB, has never been unpacked; the seller said it looked to complicated for him to even try. All setup for 9mm; too bad I already have casefeeders for both 650's. Look for it in the Classifieds!
  10. Thanks; I'll go pick it up today and then decide whether or not to keep it.
  11. I have an opportunity to purchase a NIB 550 Casefeeder with 9mm plate for a very good price (less than $175); I don't really need it since I have casefeeders on my 2 650's but I'm thinking it might be a nice addition/backup in case! Should I go ahead and get it? Thanks
  12. so how would the shotshell primer fillers on Ebay compare? would they be similar and work with Dillon tubes?
  13. I use clays exclusively in my 9, 40 and 45; clean, fast burning; I recommend it
  14. I agree with kevin; same recipe I'm using; soft shooting and accurate
  15. Mine seems to be 1.13; I haven't had a single failure at this COL
  16. Sorry that happened but at least it wasn't while reloading!
  17. And I thought I was loading a creampuff load! I am using 3.4gr of Clays in my M&P40 at 1.13 and it is very soft shooting but cycles consistantly. I might have to try something lower for the wife to try.
  18. It's happened to me once or twice; you think you're paying close attention but now and then, one gets through; glad yours turned out ok
  19. I've got 2 yellow tips that just seem to be a little harder or more brittle than the others. These 2 make it difficult to pick up primers so I just stopped using them.
  20. Berry's, MG and a couple of others I can't remember
  21. I would say if they slide in/out of both your gauge and your barrel, you're good to go
  22. Finally got to the range after some delays; the Clays at 3.2 to 3.6 with the 155 gr bullets shot very well and were very soft; my wife really enjoyed it too; I wanted something soft shooting for paper and they were 100% perfect. Now to load up a bunch of them; oh, and I fired about 20 180 gr XTP's with the 3.2 gr and they also were very accurate and soft.
  23. I think those of us who own a 650 knew you wouldn't be sorry! Congrats on your first loading session
