  1. I"ve only had my Hornady for about 3 weeks but it seems pretty accurate. I've compared it to 2 other electronic scales and it is dead on with them. It does seem very sensitive to the slightest movement (a/c, bench, etc.)
  2. Thanks Neo; even if they don't ship on Saturday, it's good that I can at least speak to someone.
  3. Ok, did a quick search and discovered this is something of a common issue. Just hope Dillon is available on Saturday! If not, I'll be out of commission for 45's for a while.
  4. I was moving right along loading some 45 and 'boing'--the primer index arm snapped off. Not sure what caused it but I'm in the process of removing the priming assembly. Just curious if Dillon will replace this part! Thanks
  5. I use the Hornady bullet feeding die and once in a while I will find a round that doesn't get dropped; I usually just wiggle the die or the tube a little and it fixes the issue. This has happened probably 2-3 times in the past 6 months.
  6. OK, after fiddling with this thing for a week, I finally determined that my calipers were really screwed up. I purchased a new one yesterday and remeasured everything. I'll have to go back and reseat about 100 but finally everything is working as it should. Also had to readjust my seating die as it was not seating fully. I appreciate all the input from you guys.
  7. I think you're right but they fit perfectly into the gauge; gonna do some more checking; I'm beginning to think my calipers are not functioning properly
  8. Most all the completed rounds that fit are 1.294-1.296 OAL I believe something is keeping the cases from being sized correctly since last night and this evening at least 6 of 10 were way to big to even fit into the gauge.
  9. I left my notes at home; I'll check this evening; I believe the OAL is perfect but I'll post later; thanks
  10. Think I'll try adjusting my crimp die this evening and see if that might be the culprit; back it off slightly
  11. I'm not sure what is going on with either my case guage, calipers or what I measured about 20 cases that would not fit into the guage---almost all are .471/.472 at the mouth and none are over .475 anywhere from there to the extractor groove; they won't fit in the guage or my 1911 and XDM Most seem to have enough bulge in the middle to keep from chambering; I don't own a glock but could this be once fired from one?
  12. Thanks Poppa; I'll do some quick checks when I get home this evening and report back.
  13. 230 gr, fmj (Berry's), using Dillon dies (new)
  14. I'm having a now and then issue with my 650; loading 45 acp, about 3 out of 10 cases will not fit, either into my barrel or a case guage; I have lowered the sizing die over and over---as stated, about 7 of 10 will be fine. Is there something I'm missing? I haven't had this issue before (with another 650 and with my 650 loading 9mm). Either the die is not reducing the diameter of the case or ? Any advice would be helpful
  15. I've pretty much always kept my left hand on the bullet tray; just seems like a natural position for me. Now that I"ve got a bullet feeder, I find myself still resting my hand there.
  16. I sold my 550 and replaced it with a second 650; one of the best moves I've made
  17. Thank you; I appreciate it; hopefully it will help
  18. I'm also using 4.0 Clays with 230's
  19. I have 2 650's and use clays for both; very consistent and I've had zero problems
  20. Are you using the clips that came with the tubes? the clip fits into the loading end and prevents the primers from coming out until you remove it (after you place it over the primer filler tube.
  21. Be sure and check out okshooters.com too. Lots of great Okies who are willing to help And welcome to the forum
  22. I have one customer who buys frequently and almost everytime he gets a delay. I have talked to ATF to find out why but you don't get answers. He usually waits the 3 days and then the 'Proceed' is given. I've had this happen at least 8 times during the past 2 years with him
  23. I have a Hornady tumbler and use walnut plus Dillon polish; they come out very shiny
  24. I have about 20 of those same storage boxes; they do a good job and are very low cost
