  1. TBH, they are not too bad out of the box. I bought 2 for home defense and maybe the occasional IDPA match. I really dig the ergos even though I have small girly hands. I am sure most Tanfo Parts can be made to work. I am thinking of replacing the trigger with an extreme DA/SA or an 85 combat trigger. Sent from my VS987 using Tapatalk
  2. If we are talking budget, why not give the SAR K2 45 a whirl? They go for $400 or less, has a 14 round magazine capacity which can be increased with a P14 extended basepad, and dropping in a 14 lb hammer spring reduces the DA pull considerably without sacrificing reliability. The only real downsides is lack of aftermarket support, specifically in the sights department.
  3. Does that mean the guide rod can be taken apart to swap out springs?
  4. I have purchased four CZ75 SA over the years, and they all have been tumbler style. The D Style sear cages are $69 plus the cost of the safeties that you add so this modification could easily be one of the most expensive one on the gun. The extended LHS Safety needs a lot of trimming in order to use properly.

  6. 1.150 should be fine for 124, 147, or 165g plated bullets. Coated bullets typically need to be seated deeper. A proper plunk and a pin test will let you know. As far as crimp is concerned, I use the least amount that I can get away with. I just make the walls straight. For the 147g profile, I would start my ladder loads at 2.8g. Depending on the gun/barrel, you could be close to the 125 Power Factor already.
  7. What about selling a top end that is ready to go?
  8. So after rummaging through my pile of holsters and mag pouches, here is a pic of the best I was able to find. As I mentioned earlier, my Garret Industries Glock 19 Silent Thunder holster, tightened down, felt like a decent fit. For the mag pouches, I found this dual Kydex pouch for the CZ75/Berreta/Sig mags to be a decent fit with a little bit of tightening. Most of the similar sized individual mag pouches were too tight from front to back and a little loose from left to right. I don't think any pouches made for the regular 43 or a 1911 would work on the 43x/48 mags. The Ghost 360 and the Double Alpha pouches will work for the 43x/48 mags as well. 9. That is what I saw on youtube videos, but I don't know if the current G43 mag pouches will accommodate the 43x/48 magazines. I found out that my G19 Garret Industries Holster will work for the 43x/48 just fine if I tighten the screws most of the way down.
  10. Can the regular 43 x Mag Carriers accommodate the larger 43x/48 magazines? Neither site stated that they would. Will 1911 Single Stag Pouches work for the 43X/48 Mags?
  11. I saw a thread from a few years ago that Henning was going to offer these. I do not see anything listed on his site. Is anyone else making Tritium Sights for the Witness?
  12. I have been looking around and the gear available was made mostly for the regular 43 with limited compatibility for the new kinds on the block. Does anyone have a good lead on some gear I would actually use at a match?
  13. Where did you find that deal? Sent from my VS987 using Tapatalk
  14. Here is my Stock III. Somehow I doubt that I could get below 43 ounces with a mag unless some slide milling was involved as well. Sent from my VS987 using Tapatalk
  15. Well if you are slingshotting instead of using the area between your support hand thumb and middle finger in an overhand fashion, I could see how that could happen. Sent from my VS987 using Tapatalk
  16. If I decide to clean my S/A Shadow one of these days, I will pull out my hammer, strut, and disconnector. I went with a lightly polished short/wide CZ Competition hammer and a type 3 disco with the wing removed. My static reset is shorter than using the pre-travel screw on the trigger so I don't even use it. I run a 13 lb/blue hammer spring and the break feels like glass. The trigger pull is right around 2 lbs even.
  17. The last time I weighed a 9mm Stock 3, with the stock grips and an empty magazine inserted, it weighed just north of 45 ounces. It should fit in the box since the Match Elite does.
  18. I am asking due to the milling on the front of the slide.

It sounds like the trigger is not resetting. Back off the pre travel screw half to a full turn. Sent from my VS987 using Tapatalk
  20. I have found the 16 rounders with rubber basepads to be nearly 100% reliable for me over the years. I have some occasional slidelock and mag drop issues with the 17 rounders. Sent from my VS987 using Tapatalk
  21. Beats me, I dont have the other cut. Sent from my VS987 using Tapatalk
  22. The garage is far too open and drafty for a space heater to be of any use. Plus they use a lot of electricity.
  23. I just used the last of mine a few months ago.
