I shoot Glock in production and limited class and run 6# springs in my Gen 3and4 with no issues have done this for years. All major drop in trigger kits will come with a 6# trigger spring or heavier for a lighter trigger pull.
Looking to buy a svi trigger insert but cant find anywhere that is not charging a arm and a leg for shipping.Does anybody know somewhere who sells them other than SSI,SV, brownells and powerfactor. Or does anybody have a med curve or med flat they would like to sell?
Does the PT ambi safety's come already trimmed for a right handed person or are they equal widths. Im left handed and would like a pair if not already trimmed
Dont do it. I do not have my Glocks lightened but I did have a M&P pro 40 limited gun done. The gun is a lot more violent with a lightened slide and dont by the bs about less muzzle flip if the gun is more violent then so is the flip. The reason people say they can track the sights faster is the slide action is faster. Lightened slide are awesome on 2011 because of all the weight in the gun/slide but polymer guns are another story unless running minor loads.
Get a zev ss guide rod and a 13lbs ismi spring and a adapter ring if a gen4. I run them in all my Glocks gen3 and gen4 with no problems. The double springs that come in the gen4 is junk do yourself a favor and stay away from that style of recoil assembly.
I have used zev 12lbs blue and the wolf brand. I had the same problem with both when doing a reload I would knock the gun out of battery. I had to use a 14lbs round wire spring to solve this problem. I now use a 13lbs ismi spring in my Glock 34 and it runs a 100%. The round wire springs are real weak when the slide is forward. The flat wire (ismi) have a lot more tension when the slide is closed.
