  1. So far the SG is running okay, still 100% reliabiltiy, still shoot slugs the saame accuracy. One reason I am doing this post is to ask other 1301 owners for some info. by no means I'm an authority with firearms. I want to get the parts before experiencing some failures, especially its a little a challenge to get parts up here. I saw one You Tube vid. about the guys A400 cam pin is chipping out, and the 1301 is basically a A400 with a cheaper price tag. so just a little bit of concern. There is only one thing I noticed about my SG, it seems that the recoil spring doesnt have the "power" cant figure the right term. The only problem is I dont know how to replace the recoil spring, . By the way the only part that I replaced was the factory mag spring and install a new one that comes with Nordic mag extension.
  2. Mr Kelly the 5k is the max, there are 3 of us using the SG, me and my 2 boys for IPSC, some Outlaw matches, Informal trap shooting and some practice. We average 1 case ( 250) of ammo a month. I just realized about a couple days ago when I was figuiring my budget for next year. lol
  3. To all 1301C owners, any actual parts failure, breakage or any other concerns regarding your 1301 durability. My personnal 1301 so far is looking good, but only fired a max of 5k for the last 18 months. You can mention even those normal maintenance parts like recoil springs, trigger springs firing pin etc etc. Thanks
  4. pictures please for reference, thanks
  5. In my case the 21" fits me better, balance and easier/ faster for mounting/ dismount, in general terms fitment. I guess the individual's physical stature / upper body strenght will also determine the best bbl lenght. Before I got the my 21" 1301, 2 buddies of mine who owns both the 21" and 24" respectively let me do some range time with their SG, and found out I can move the SG faster and smoother with the 21" . Surprisingly, it was a different story when we did some informal trap shooting.
  6. I beleived the original post was specific of the 2 models from the factory, if you spend another $500.00 for the other gun to make it better or get its full potential, then it will not qualify as gun OUT from the box.
  7. I switched to open 10 yrs ago, its been a struggle for me finding the front with Std.div gun and Revolver. Now Im itching to shoot the Classic 1911 Div. have an appointment with my doctor this weekend and the initial plan was to reverse the bifocal lens, the RX will be on the top side so I still run and move . I only need a 125 lens just to able to see the front sight. I experimented with a lowest RX reading glasses ( ready to wear sold at Wallmart) and the Front is very clear but I cant moved or run with it. the ground doesnt look even. lol
  8. Steve recommends to send him the complete SG, he doesnt sell just the parts which is understandable, Unfortunately sending the SG will be a lot of work for me especially we have a new Gov't.
  9. Does he sell those short action bars, thanks
  10. Gents Is there any after market parts or kit for the SN that will reduce the action. A 2 3/4 would be nice. Or a tip on how it's done. Thanks
  11. co-exprs, if you dont me asking, how tall or what's your arms lenght. In my case the 1301 comp without any spacer is perfect for my stature, so I ask my buddy gunsmith to shorten my stock of my Supernova with the same LOP 13". I hope its not too short, if not mistaken a shorter LOP especially with a pump is beneficial for me since I'm on the shorter side or shall we say cute, easier for me to manipulate the action. . lol, anyways the Kickeez that will be installed is 3/4", worst comes to worst I can still get the 1" pad.
  12. Hi, I got 2 of these Stabilizer from Tim, until now Im still wondering how will it stabilize the Extension if it doesnt touch or engage to the bbl, which one is holding the mag extension via the stabilizer. From my amateur point of view, the mag extension is still hanging out unsupported. Hope somebody can enlighten me up on this. The theory is sound by keeping the bbl free floating to avoid change in POI.
  13. i bought 2 sights, .170 and .190, right now my .190 is good for my 50yards zero ( slugs)
  14. Thanks for the pics and detailed info, I'm sure it will be a huge help
  15. That's what I did when I had the ( action) forearm "lock", meaning I pulled the forearm a little bit before the trigger release the action, I have to push the forearm to release the action, Is this normal? or something can be done with this, if this is one of the feature that a SN works, can it be modified or fix?. I would prefer to have a forearm when fully in the forward position to be fully lock and cant be pulled rearward until the release by the trigger. Will Stoning or deburring will eliminate this problem. thanks
  16. Dan, the thing is even I'm doing some dry fires, with or without dummy's, it's still the same. If I will just let the forearm rest to the furthest of its cycle, than its fine, I can even feel the trigger release the action. It's only when the forearm in the most forward and then try just a little bit of pulling that it will lock the action.
  17. I shot my SN today with the full mag capacity to test my extended mag function, works alright Although a New Concern or a Probelm I just noticed. Not sure if its a operator induced problem or its normal for the SN. Ocassionally right after I pull the trigger and tried to cycle /pull the action, the action/forearm jam, it wont travel rearward , sometimes I have to push just a bit the forearm foreward and then pull the action back again.. Bbut the thing though it doesnt happen all the time, so not sure if its me or the SN.Thanks
  18. Sorry for that, it was the aluminum mounting plate that I saw at brownells, just can't remember the make, will make sure I will get the right spacing of the screws for the right Kickeez pad. I tried to take out the gel pad from my Comfortech stock just to test for the Lop, surprisingly the stock without the pad installed fits me perfectly which is about 13.375".
  19. Co-exprs , thanks, I saw an aluminum base/ template at Brownells catalogue specifically for Comfortech Stock, are they any good for my project, without the pad, with only the stock it's the perfect LOP for me
  20. Is it fairly expensive? You don't have to post the $ if it's confidential, maybe an PM will be fine. Because of my location maybe shipping south is a problem?
  21. Gents This is about my SuperNova LOP, Right now I'm using the 1/2" gel pad which make my LOP to 13 7/8 which is still a little bit longer than my desired LOP of 13 .5". At Brownells Catalogue they have a gel pad which says 13.5 LOP, this is where I need your knowhow. Measured my Comfortech Stock without the pad and it reads very close to 13.25, by the adding the 13.5 LOP gel pad makes it 13.5". Just wondering if that 13.5 LOP pad has only 1/4 thickness? , From the the Benelli web site they listed only 3 thickness fo their Gel pad, 1/2" , 1" and 1.375" If only I can shoten my SN Comfortech to just 3/4" to 1/2". thanks
  22. Thanks for the tip, I assume you are referring to the mag nut and tube connection? What about to the mag nut and factory mag, thanks
  23. Hi, installed a plus 6(10+1)of the Nordic Mag Extension to my SuperNova, after a box or about 30 rnds the magazine Nut loosens up from the Gun Magazine ,and same is true with Mag nut and Extension Tube connection. is it okay to apply some purple Locktite between the tube and the bbl nut? did it not install a clamp by the way, thanks
