  1. Aside from the bbl lenght and profile, are there any more significant difference between the 2 models ? Same receiver and features? (loading port, safeties, chokes etc.) Thanks
  2. Because of my built, 18.5 " bbls balance well for me. Thinking of getting the 1301 Tactical which has the 18.5"bbl. Aside from the bbl profile, Is there any major difference between the 1301 comp and 1301 Tactical?,( loading port, safeties, bo;t release, etc) Btw, since in Canada we can only load a max of 5 rnds, so the mag ext is not something to consider. thanks

  4. I am basically an open class ( pistol) in IPSC, cant shoot irons because of my vision. Can anyone suggest a holster ( pistol) I can safely use in a 3 gun . My rifle comes with a variable scope and planning to install a red dot on my shotgun just to be consistent for open. My current holster right now is the DAA for my open pistol ,wondering if its secure and safe to use this in a 3 gun. Thanks
  5. this is my 4th cmore-slide ride in 10 yrs, and having the same problem, the windage adjustment screw will not stay in place, my latest Slide Ride which is just a year old, is having the same problem . I need to re zero every 200 rns, set the windage screw at 8 oclock after 200 rnds its on the 9oclock. Will the Aluminum Body solve or eliminate this problem. I fixed that issue with some Blue Locktite on the lock screw. Now it is perfect. I used the nail polish thinking that its easier to turn than the Blue with need some adjusting. contacted Cmore and was adviced to send it to them for check-up, unfortunately I dont have a back up, $ 160 or something to have my sight rebody, not sure if the aluminum body will solve the problem. For $160, I might as well get the Aluminum and sell the my plastic or keep it as backup.
  6. Scott, My problem is, If I set the diopter at 1x, the reticle is not the best and the target is not so clear, with a little magnification 1.2 or something its when the reticle and target are crisp. any advice on this. btw, I wear prescription glasses but not when Im shooting, basically Im far sighted.

  8. My local dealer ( national) just announced about the new AERO UPPER (M4E1) with matching FOREARM in 3 styles, Keymod,Mlock and Quadrail, for $200-300. Thinking of going for the M-Lock, since its a little bit hard to find the keymod accessories here. Maybe you can share your opinions. Also availiable in Cerakote Finish and 9",10", 12", 15".
  9. Hi, I was looking at these 2 sights, Is it possible both are made by the same company in Japan . Any experience with Razor on a Open Gun?, The Vortex would be practical for me here since they have at least a warranty office in Canada, and sending back the Cmore RTS2 in the States would be a lot of paper work. Please share your thoughts, Thanks
  10. Thanks for all your inputs Gents, Thats a nice looking Burnt Bronze CCoker, PC monitor has different hue, does their burnt bronze looks lighter in person?
  11. Hello, One of our domestic dealer IS carrying AERO - Stripped LOWER/UPPER in Cerakote finish and price fairly. Any actual feedback and experienced ( fit, finish) with either their LOWER or UPPER or COMBO. Im aware that Aero is knowN for their aircaft parts, and OEM for other AR CO;S, but which company I dont know. Thanks

  13. Adjust the seat die as follows, put a sized, empty case in station 3, pull the handle down. Leave the handle down, and the case elevated. With your fingers, screw the die body down until it stops against the case. Now back it up 1/4 turn. finger tighten the die body lock ring only. Now, adjust the seat stem to seat the bullet to the desired depth. Once adjusted, tighten both die lock rings with a loaded cartridge up in the die. On the powder measure, since you don't flare a 223 case, adjust the height of the powder die so that the powder bar has fully travelled to the far side at the same time the handle bottoms out. If the powder bar quits moving before the handle is stopped, then the powder die is down too far. I readjusted the seating and powder dies as per advice from DILLON, and it WORKS. I cant say which one is the culprit, but whats important is it solved my problem. Thanks again to all who contributed to this thread. Maybe Dillon should include or add with instructions I got from this thread, much simplier and concise. thanks
  14. I dont crimp so most likely its on the seat die. I have 2 different instruction manuals The one that comes with the die is to screw the die until touches the shell holder and backout 1/8 turn. From the 8.1 version manual( 550B) = screw the die until touches the shell plate and BAckOut 2 Full turns I did the first one that comes with die. Now, is there a possibilty that the powder funnel is the cause . Again it doesnt happen to my 75 gainers. Gigs, youre right it really doesnt make sense,
  15. more details on when trying to assemble a dummy round with size and trim case, the bullet ( 55Grs) will not go in the brass by hand, presumably I had a good tension, its when I am on the actual reloading with powder and seating the bullet ( 55grs - Hornady and Frontier) that there is a setback. with 2.220 oal its not too bad , its when I seat at an OAL of 2.240 that setback is very bad, I can push the bullet even with a moderate push. Again this does happen on a dummy round. But my 75 grs is perfect. with an OAL OF 2.250 loaded round. thanks again
  16. thanks, I will look into that, but my Dillon Die has less than 5k rnds on it.
  17. measured my Frontier (55gr)and Hornady 55g5 are on the .222 same with Hornady 75 grs. but the 75 gainers has no setback at all loaded to an oal of 2.250. By the way both Frontier and Hornady 55grs. if seated 2.240 that's when the tension is worst, However when seated 2.200 its not too bad, need to apply enough push to see some setback.
  18. Thanks Steve, I'm not so familiar with the Lee Collet Die, I thought what it does is only neck Sizing the brass.
  19. Thanks, can you kindly share more about this Waterfall Effect? any tricks to avoid this or a remedy for this.
  20. You might want to remove the lube from your loaded rounds. When a round is fired it momentarily grips the chamber. With the lube, you could possibly be creating excessive pressure on your pistols breach face. Never thought of that, but very interesting,. thanks
  21. Thanks for all your feedbacks, maybe will try polishing the expander, or will try the Lee Collet die and apply / use after fully resizing with the Dillon FL sizing die on the same tool head and next station.
  22. This is for my 223/5.56 Die- Dillon Is there a logic on this? by screwing my sizing die further will increase the neck tension, of course I will still keep the proper headspace clearance. Or by unscrewing the decapping pin/ expander just enough to decap the spent primer will keep the case mouth at its mininum and will increase the neck I.D. thanks
  23. Do you tumble the brass to get rid of lube after resizing or just load away. And or tumble a loaded round to get rid of the lube, Never did lube my brass before, but recently my shoulder is not that strong and having some athritis, lol, nothing really funny about my athritis. thanks
