  1. consumer reports sez the eureka boss was just as good as the dyson. bought one a month ago and it sucks like a (well, gotta keep it clean on the forum). anyway, had enuf $$ left over to buy a couple thousand super comp brass from starline.
  2. well, a few of these folks actually made some equipment...check this out. http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?...78&hl=comps
  3. while driving home from the R & R match, we were musing we should have packed our steel guns gamed it and shot sub-minor for the pistol. in fact, for tac optics, i would think a hi-cap 9 svi/sti would be the shi$&ole for the pistol.
  4. wow, jamie...that's some wild stuff. hang in there and take care of yourself!
  5. still haven't got my front sight. this gets old.
  6. That was the long distance stage (315-20 yard max). He timed out and left 4+ of the long distance targets up. He was using 60's. Same complaints from the X3 match in Piru with those resetting targets. With slow 55 grain bullets you have to hit them in a small(er) sweet spot. Don't use slow and light bullets when engaging those targets. i had no problems on stage 10-used 55 gr NBT's going 2986 fps.
  7. was definitely an accuracy style of match, and given the scoring method, it was tough. lots of head shots, and i lost count of those 5" plates we shot with a shotgun. i do remember the stage i worked had 29 of them just for birdshot! and the multi-bay stage with the texas star was a hoot. i will say this-i love those plate racks for long distance rifle...i don't even want to shoot a flasher or larue again! r & r have a winner with those targets. i was amazed i could reset 320 yard plates without pulling a cord 30'...that cord is the sh%t!
  8. http://my.break.com/Content/view.aspx?ContentID=536761 thought about the humor section, but i figured that would be wrong.
  9. c'mon, todd...it was 26 yds! at R&R this weekend, every shotgun plate (and there were hundreds) was a little 5" round. cool target, and most ran modified for almost every stage. better have IC, Mod & Full.
  10. on the diagram, "knock knock" sez pistol/shotgun, but sez retrieve rifle...so which 2 guns? also, what stage has the slugs?
  11. ok, here's the build...got JP's new "john holmes" cooley comp...sweet.
  12. jim zubiena-who can forget the classic miami vice scene. draws from surrender concealed, mozambiques a guy and clears his 1911...if you haven't seen it, go here and scroll down to the bottom. http://www.alphamikenoshoot.org/Capsl/Videos.html
  13. .1 per split is absurd...more like .3-.5 per...trust me, cqb still gets hosed-it;s the intermediate ones that we will slow down on.
  14. still don't see the big deal here-if i have an array of 4 paper targets at cqb distances, i am not gonna take the time to squeeze perfect twin "a"'s...i'll hose them and eat the 1/2 second for each c. now, if it's that "iffy" range, say 50-100 yard paper, i would certainly slow down.

  16. +1 bighamp. we'll be trying this one out next week on the left coast.
  17. dave-can't get your video within your blog to appear in a browser...what's the markup?
  18. much more fun breaching the door like the R&R guyz will have us doing next week
  19. hey merlin-were those the two guyz hitching a ride home after they had to sell their vehicles to pay for their new benelli's?
  20. didn't drag the chrono out, but will this weekend. noticed my poa changed on the bdc, so i'm guessing it's going faster than the old barrel. that load was going 3,039.
  21. my first JP barrel-finished the build and went to the range. did the barrel break-in, adjusted the gas system and got a rough 100 yd zero. then, squeezed a 3 shot group of less than .4" with 55gr NBT's. 200 yd groups still sub MOA. gotta like it!
