  1. Mine was built from a matched LeadStar upper and lower. Very tight tolerances across the entire rifle, specifically the trigger locator pins. Never had to get the "linked" ones as both of the pins have never moved. BC
  2. Saw that Springer had the BarSto's in stock (for about 15 minutes) and grabbed one on 24-November. It arrived on 7-December with the Romeo3 XL mount. Currently looking for a 2nd barrel for the backup gun. BC
  3. N320 in both sizes (1# and 4#) are showing out of stock. 3:05 PM Eastern BC
  4. Ran the Legion in it's first match and yes, the Armory Craft trigger / Gray Guns competition kit definitely helped over the standard Legion trigger. Firmly lodged in "C" class after running the El Presidente classifier. Need more trigger time with this platform as it's quite a change from the PCC with the Hyperfire trigger. Magazine changes with no magwell just plain suck.... or maybe that's just me.... BC
  5. Ran into this when reloading.... the powder check die (from DAA) kept beeping. The powder was thrown on the scale and it was the correct weight. Didn't think anything about it until it happened again and then again. Checked the headstamp.... XTREME. Went back and found the other loads and pulled them apart. Now I'm doing the same culling process. It prevents putting a primer into a piece of brass that is going to be thrown away. BC
  6. Anyone finding 9mm barrels for the Legion which are 5 inch? Seems BarSto is the only one available and they get snatched up faster than primers.... BC
  7. Same. Tandemkross also has a great kit for disassembling / reassembling Ruger magazines. (link) Best $15 spent on the RFRO gun. Even when running PCC there are 6 magazines available. Grabbing a magazine off the table or your belt instead of getting a 30 can save that run. It also allows for a later throw away if one of the next runs has the jam from hell and you do end up with a 30. BC
  8. https://shop.springerprecision.com/p320-x-compact-x-five-m17-legion-burris-mount/ Even though the link reads "burris-mount" use it and select the "Optic Type" on that page. When they send it to you, the screws for the Romeo3 XL will already be in the mount. Lock Tite is your friend.... BC
  9. Same here. There is another P320 coming out that mounts the Sig Romeo 3 Max and XL directly to the slide. Availability date unknown. There is another thread (<-- click) on Enos with a link to Osage County Guns. BC
  10. One of the reasons my Opens guns were sold.... along with the damage to my elbows. BC
  11. With the *Generic *thumb rest [generic]** running $66, it makes for an expensive wear part..... Oh well... BC
  12. Cheat Sheet by Division: OPEN - No LTD - No PROD - 10 rounds loaded in any magazine after the start signal SS - 10 rounds maximum REV - NA for Steel Challenge CO - No RFP - No RFR - No PCC - No Cheers, BC
  13. Any ideas on how to buffer this impact and still have the gun run? BC
  14. While some divisions have no maximum ammunition rule (and others do) the game in SC is speed and accuracy. Putting a large quantity of ammuntion in a magazine is going to add weight to the gun which in turn is going to slow down your transitions between plates. Bottom line, if you need more than 10 rounds, that run is probably going to be the one that you throw out. When beginning SC, the best piece of advice is to slow down just a bit and get your hits. It takes time to go back and make up a miss on a target and that also disrupts the "flow" between plates. BC
  15. Not IDPA but a good idea..... One of the USPSA staff that teaches NROI Range Officer class passes out business cards with the current range commands printed on the back. They are perfect size to be stuck on the bak of a timer. Not sure if 31 words would fit on a business card and still be legible. BC
  16. Blue Bullets 9mm 147 grain Flat Point. Ordered 3K on November 9th and four weeks later still in "Processing". Having been through this before, had stocked up on all components months ago. BC
  17. USPSA is about shooting. IMHO adding "stupid human tricks" does not make a stage better. Even if you word the WSB down to the gnat's a$$, the gamers are going to figure out a way to defeat the stage designer's intentions. Things done in the past to get around stupid human tricks: - Magazine thrown at a hinged port to open it in advance. Was it an advantage? The competitor thought so. No, he didn't win the stage but the one feed lip on his Open gun magazine had a nice new dent. - Suitcase thrown onto stomp pad which activated a swinger. By the time the competitor got to that target, it was no longer moving. - Carry something from the start position to the last shooting position which was about 50' away. Almost everyone in the match took the one procedural. - Stage designer wanted strong-hand only in a 32 round field course. Mandated the object be "carried" in the WSB. Most stuck it behind a magazine on their belt leaving both hands on the gun. - After the beep, find your bullets in a bowl of marbles and load them into your empty magazine to start the stage. Competitors just turned the bowl over on the table and the marbles rolled away providing easier access to the ammunition. Make stages a challenge to shoot, not play around with other stuff. But hey, that's just my opinion. BC
  18. Thanks.... It's interesting that the classes in Epping, NH are $10 less.
  19. and what was the price & location? BC
  20. Same here.... Only have 2 Legions, one that was purchased with the GG Competition kit installed and the second with a GG kit, TSA trigger job and AC trigger. The GG kit only, the trigger has a mushy wall and quite a bit of takeup. The AC trigger is setup with an immediate wall as in no take up and as little overtravel as possible and still have the gun function. The trigger gauge read 2 pounds 2.5 ounces with the AC trigger. It all boils down to what YOU want in a trigger and how YOU feel it should run. Coming from 20+ years of shooting an Open division 2011 with a 16 ounce trigger, for me a lighter trigger that immediately reacts to pressure is what I prefer. YMMV. BC
  21. The case fits the gun quite nicely. The black "Legion P320 XFIVE" label stuck on with velcro was not included with the case but is Legion swag. The case serves well as something to carry the gun to the safe area when gearing up. BC
  22. Might be late to the party but does everyone know about this deal? You create an account at at https://www.sigsauer.com/legion-registration and register your serial number. They send you a code to use as a discount.
  23. The P320 X5 Legion comes from sig Sauer with 2 recoil springs. What is the pound weight for them? One is red and the other is a blue / purple. Thanks, BC
