  1. Or Glocktalk, Political Crossfire Forum, Sig Forum, Firing Line, XD Talk, and a lot of others I could name. I can't remember the last time I saw something here that even registered on the meter.

I'm rooting for Rocco, but I have a feeling he will end up being Tiger chow.
  3. Friday the wind turned around and gradually a smoke trail about 50 miles long and 20 miles wide covered us coming up and over the santa Cruz mountains stretching to the horizon blotting out the sun. It was so bizarre, because it turned the whole world an orange hue I have never seen even in LA smog. Next morning we were sweeping the ash off everything that was outside. kali is still burning. All of the reservoirs are at about 40% capacity. We sure could use some of you guys rain.
  4. Ever watch the show "Titus"? The kid was in a store with his dad and they came across another kid and his dad looking at a .22 riflr. Little Titus: "Can we get a gun daddy?" Dad Titus: "We don't need one son. All the men in our family have large penises." I often wonder what a study of internet agression versus male endowment would reveal....
  5. Honestly, it's a byproduct of internet anonymity. It allows people with insecurities to adopt an arrogant persona they would never dare try to carry in real life because somebody would snap their pencil neck and stuff them in a dumpster. I hope it makes them feel better because it sure makes the people that they fire on wonder what's wrong with them. It happened to me the other day. I posted a question on another forum. I didn't realize that particular forum was situated as a "sub forum" ona different forum I post on... so I had two listings for it in my preferences list and I posted my question twice by mistake. later when I went back, I had a PM from one of the moderators telling me they don't tolerate people double posting and I would be banned if it ever happened again. I asked the guy what was wrong with him and wondered if such an antagonistic response was necessary for such a trivial (and completely accidental) transgression. The ridiculous thing is the forum in question had about two posts on it that day, so it wasn't like a double post was clogging up the server. That place is a ghost town.... I wonder why? I have no idea what his reply was, but I am quite sure I am now banned. Some people just seem to turn into little Hitlers when they get a tiny modicum of internet "power".
  6. Bummer. He was one guy that Rupert Murdoch hadn't managed to put on the payroll and turn into a shill. He still asked straight questions and was fair to both parties. We can't afford to lose them because they are an endangered species....
  7. OK, if you say so. That's completely different than being down by 25. As I recall, the Celts won by six or seven so they could have been down by 30 and still won. Actually, the point I was making was it wasn't exciting. Even when the Celts were still 10 down, the stink of death was all over the Lakers. Honestly, it was coming from a mile away. The first game had the same smell at the end when the lakers just folded up, started panic shooting because they could not penetrate the Celts defense and shot about 2 for 12 at the end. That's what it looks like: when the Celts shut them down on defense they just panic and start taking stupid shots they can't make.
  8. Jay Leno keeps doing jokes about how the refs are fixing all the games.
  9. I don't have a guilty conscience, I think it's fair. C+S specifically markets their products as superior to standard, and if they are not they have no excuse. The other point was the defects I saw in the ones I ordered was not "hidden", they had flash lines from the mold which caused them to drag in the firing pin channel. I had to smooth them all, as well as extend the cut out to keep them from dragging on the primer heads in the resting position. IMHO, a simple visual inspection would have detected the mold lines. Ergo, this junk was not given any QA.My other gripe was that these "extended" pins were marketed as restoring the "lost" strike power going from the hammer mounted pins to the frame mounted pins. They don't increase striking power in any way I could measure, so that's a false claim and means they actually offer no benefit. IMHO, they are a scam because they don't give you anything for your money. If they also fail sooner than OEM products, that is an inexcusable offense for an aftermarket part.
  10. Kind of takes the pressure off now that the outcome of the series is pretty much done. last night, the Celtics were down by 25 points in the Lakers home court... and yet the Celtics did not panic, but simply tightened up their defense and methodically demolished the Lakers. It was like watching what a pack of lions do to the stupid gazelle. Koby can talk all he wants, what happened last night pretty much said it all.
  11. Amen. I could not believe it when I saw what was left of that cub scout camp after the twister went through it. It is beyond horrible.
  12. If it was flame retardant, we'd already be spraying it.
  13. The Santa Cruz mountains are on fire AGAIN.... it was just burning last week. The freak heat is back.... Monday it was forecast for 82 and it got up to 97 here that day, it "only" got up to about 95 today. The humidity is in the 5 - 10% range today, and satan's winds are blowing 30 - 40 MPH straight offshore making it hotter and dryer. At this moment, we have four large major wildfires burning in Kali. The air is filthy, the warnings are out, and it seems like it will never end. This is going to be the worst year ever.
  14. The seventh level of Hell is reserved for the people who make their living bilking people out of money they actually earned. I'm sure the fee he charges for this charitable service is quite reasonable.....
  15. If it only did it once, write it off to a bad round. But, If your slide is moving slightly as you pull the trigger, it means the recoil spring is too light and not holding it in battery. If you have a progressive rate recoil spring, chuck it and get the stock one.
  16. Maybe it's like those tribes that have several levels of dead? I can just picture some brain dead moron arguing with a person and telling him he MUST be dead because they're records say he's dead....
  17. NOT! in Texas ...Your Word is a binding contract It's binding in every state as long as both parties agreed on the intent.
  18. There is just something about seeing 60 people waiting to get "service" from one brain dead moron that screams "your government at work"..... That "full contact" search just to get in the front door was a surprise too.
  19. I know, they are part of the government so that means (by definition) they are stupid, lazy, and don't give a damn if they do their job right. They completely omitted two years of my earnings from my work history which lowers my benefits. I go downtown to the federal building to get it straightened out.... and have to park on the street (two hour maximum at a meter). So I walk to the building and find: They have new security "procedures": everybody has to empty their pockets, answer questions, they run you on the computer, etc.... and of course, only ONE GUY is doing this while eight other guys stand there and watch. So, a long line was there just to enter the stupid BUILDING.... there's 45 minutes I'll never get back. So, I finally get in and head upstairs and find: about 75 people all waiting to get served at the ONE WINDOW that is open.... and these were clearly "immigration related issues". Didn't hear a word of Engish except for the profanity running through my mind. So, I waited until the expiring meter forced me to leave. What a waste of my life.
  20. Bozos like him always end up being sued on Judge Judy or People's Court for breaching a verbal contract.
  21. I remember that time, my brother and I were in high school and were into Karate. I recall Norris won six consecutive world championships in the middleweight class, a feat which is unquestionably superhuman.
  22. Yes, I run the EFK Firedragon 9mm conversion barrel in my G35. It's a good gun for a conversion, same extractor will work well for .40 and 9mm. Ejector seems to work no problem. You do need to buy 9mm magazines.
  23. Be careful how long the 50/50 mixture sits on/in the comp, the acidic nature of the formula will disolve the hard chrome and locktite. Believe me, I know.... Jerry Mine's polished stainless...... neener-neener-neener.......
  24. I have worked on the gun before. Not a MIM gun. The bolt I had break was not MIM either. Interesting and surprising. Still an odd part to have break. Any theories as to why aside from the obvious (junk part)? maybe excess end shake lets the cylinder whack the thing on recoil?
