  1. Yup. I suspect, though, that a little creative work to the holster with a dremel tool could fix that. A good heat gun will loosen the kydex right up and mold it to you gun..just not too much or you'rr have a puddle.. Toaster Oven works too. Set at 350 but not for too long.
  2. http://www.posacops4kids.com/isabella.php Excellent cause, looks like an interesting type match. It may be similar to the Tactical Match Duane wrote about in the recent HG magazine. Regards,
  3. If you get a chance to look at Jerry M's 625, you will see his chamfer is a lot more than the one pictured. Each hole in his cylinder looks like a funnel. I wish I had the tools to get a greater chamfer than I have. As slow as I am, every little bit would help me. Since the rounds headspace off the moonclip, I keep trying a little more and a little more. Regards,
  4. If you missed it so did I It is course design, not rules. How they are to be shot should be explained in the walk through. Regards,
  5. Try Kead Bullets in Dallas Tx. I don't use lead, but I have heard they are a good hard cast bullet. regards,
  6. 610 is an either or revolver like the 38spl/357 models. I have used very little 10MM in my 610. The 40 S&W requires no modifications in this gun. As far as the 646, I would leave that answer to others. I have seen them, shot one once, and would love to own one, but I do not have enough experience with one to form an opinion. Regards, Gary
  7. Ray, I use a 610 for the 40 S&W. Regards, Gary
  8. Thanks I'll try it. Now if I could just get BONES to send some fresh 9volt
  9. This what you are looking for? I like it for the 45ACP, but I found the 40s were stripped out of the clips too easily. TK Custom sells them. Regards,
  10. Actually, little enough personality and poor response that it made me want to never deal with them again. I will call and see if they will take it back and test it out. In the mean time, I am looking at a Pocket pro. Thanks again, Gary
  11. Thanks Eric, I will contact them again and see if they respond a little better than the last time I spoke with them. Regards,
  12. I use it out on the range. Private club and I go early Sunday AM to have it all to myself. I will try the tape idea, adjusting the sensitivity was my first thought but it did not work. Side walls are fiberboard for sound deadening. I wear the timer on my pocket and it faces the side walls. It never did this before so it is very confusing. I never really warmed up to this timer as it has always had various problems. Missing shots during matches, never got the sky screens to work, and now this. I will probably end up buying a new timer and scrapping this one. Calling PACT never got me any satisfaction so I will need to start looking. Thanks for the input.
  13. Recently, my timer has started registering 2 shots instead of one for each shot fired in my local indoor range. (PACT Mk IV ) Anyone have a cure other than move outside? Thanks,
  14. I think the rule is a bad one. Reason: If I am shooting on the move and run dry, I can not start a reload without First arriving at the cover location. I should be allowed to reload while moving to cover. With only six rounds, I need all the time to reload I can get Regards,
  15. The "Hat ruling" you mention is a Smith & Wesson range requirement for safety reasons. That and the side shields or wrap around glasses have been required at that range for the 20 plus years I have shot there in training etc. Regards,
  16. If you go to T K CUSTOMS and contact Tom, he used to have printed instructions for machining a moon clip conversion. Regards,
  17. MARRIAGE Marriage is the triumph of imagination over intelligence. Second marriage is the triumph of hope over experience. If you want your spouse to listen and pay strict attention to every word you say, talk in your sleep. One good turn gets most of the blankets. Marriage: A woman marries a man expecting he will change, but he doesn't. A man marries a woman expecting that she won't change and she does. Men marry because they are tired. Women marry because they are curious. Both are disappointed. A woman worries about the future until she gets a husband, while a man never worries about the future until he gets a wife. A woman will always cherish the memory of the man who wanted to marry her. A man cherishes the memory of the woman who didn't. There are two times a man doesn't understand a woman - before marriage and after marriage. Husbands: Only two things are necessary to keep one's wife happy. One is to let her think she is having her way, and the other is to let her have it. Married men live longer than single men, but married men are a lot more willing to die. Any married man should forget his mistakes - no use in two people remembering the same thing. I've made three notable mistakes in my life. Marrying and divorcing two women and proposing to a third. If my wife had married my brother-in-law, my sister and I would both be happy. Why does a woman work ten years to change a man's habits, and then complain that he's not the same man she married? Before marriage, a man yearns for the woman he loves. After marriage, the 'Y' becomes silent. A man who says marriage is a 50-50 proposition doesn't understand two things: 1 - Women. 2 - Fractions.
  18. I am going to work on a list but I think I will approach it from a different angle. The FTDR will NOT be used to: 1. Penalize shooters where no other procedural error can be found. 2. Correct faulty course of fire design or walk through instructions. (ie: That is not what I meant) 3. imply a shooter deliberatly deviated from course design to gain an advantage unless there is a flagrant provable violation of the rules of IDPA. Using the "Spirit" will not be allowed as it is totally based on opinion. That is my start. Regards,
  19. Go to the 1911 Forum and send a PM to JRD. He is the designing engineer and will answer as soon as he gets the message. Regards,
