  1. Anyone hear anything about release dates yet? They seem to be taking their sweet time!
  2. All, Anyone else looking for an extended mag release for this gun? I can't find anyone that makes one yet. Comparing to a Shadow 2, I'm having to alter my grip significantly for mag changes as the button is way too short. Anyone got a line or in the market as well?

    CZ Store in Prague?

I wish I had known about that store when I was in Prague
  5. Sleep and diet have a bigger effect than most realize. Hope everything worked out after the adjustment.
  6. Not surprising as they had so many version of the Shadow out. There seemed to be like 9+ at one point.
  7. Nothing worse than shooting with cold hands, especially on an all metal gun!
  8. Could you take me off production for this race and put me on as my Open %? Joshg A67558 Thanks!
  9. From what I've read they are helpful. I have books 1 and 2.
  10. It asked for a google sign in. I am a fan of the idea and want to see but I'm not getting a google account. It's 2013 and you don't have a google account?
  11. Good write up. I'm not sure I could trust the M&P for carry with their striker problems though. Does anyone know if they have addressed this with the shield?
  12. Here's my latest video from my last match. 1st B, 6th/16th overall. Shot 86% of points What I did well: -Accuracy (to a point) -Moved faster -No failed reloads What I need to fix: -Reload quicker and start running sooner -small mistakes (trigger freeze cost me 3 seconds, forgetting a hidden steel cost me 3 seconds) -shoot faster on close targets: I'm not scaling my splits as well as I could. barely shooting faster at point blank targets than far ones. Another thing that happened on the classifier was that I had awful control of my gun, it was flying everywhere on 3-V. It's incredible that I didn't hit any no shoots. My gun was flipping around like a wet noodle. Sadly I didn't get video of it.
  13. yeah.. I actually ran out of ammo without knocking it down. I later found out I was missing a mag on my belt. It was a very high round count stage to start with. There were a ton of people that gave up after 5-10 misses or so. I refused!
  14. 7 mags, 6 pouches. Had a run in with a 75 yard barricade mini popper at a match that was unfortunate
  15. Thank you for the feedback! That is great. I'll be going over this piece by piece and integrate into my shooting. Leaving positions is definitely something I need to work on. Stage 1 - I did twitch a bit, and almost jumped the gun, I must have subconsciously expecting the beep, no good! My time between sides was slow, I see the bending you are talking about. I'll work on getting lower so I launch easier and be more stable. Stage 2 - where a jumped in the box to shoot that one target was actually part of the stage description, otherwise I wouldn't have done it. It looks clumsy without the stage diagram. My reload was way too slow, no fumbling but it took me forever to get it in (within the last two steps). Stage 5 - This was actually my best stage and I came within .17% of a local GM. I do cant the pistol weak hand, but shoot up and down with my strong hand. I do this so I don't have to put the gun way over in front of my right eye. I'll watch SK's video and see if I can modify it to make it more efficiently and the way you explain. thanks again for the really detailed breakdown! Very helpful.
  16. Dang, I need to try yours out. If they fix my glasses being pressed into temples issue alone it will be worth it to me!
  17. Thanks for the feedback Chris, I appreciate it! That part when I jumped into the box was actually gaming the stage description. You had to shoot that target from the next box, so I jumped in real quick to shoot it so I wouldn't get a penalty. That way I could optimize my reload. I agree I need to work on the loads from table, it did look a bit slow to me as well. I'll reach out and see if I can't get more feedback.
  18. I attended the local Renton, WA match this sunday. Here's the vid! I took 1st B and 6th/36th overall. What I think I did well: -Accuracy (shot 88% of points, still room to improve) -Mental mindset -Shot alphas -Reloads were all great! What I need to work on: -Need to shoot faster in general (I'd like to develop this naturally, I run pretty fast in dryfire, but I'm still not able to call accurate shots at a high rate of speed) -Finger slipping into the trigger too far on long shots (pulling shots to the left) Any suggestions from the gallery are much appreciated!
  19. Congrats man! Knew you were getting it soon. I'm jealous.
  20. I tried out dot torture last night. My test environment was pretty crappy as the range was packed and people were shooting shotguns right next to me the whole time. I felt like I rushed it a bit. Any time there's a draw or speed reload involved I feel compelled to shoot faster. My initial score was 37/50 at 3 yards. I should be able to easily beat this next time which will give me plenty of room to improve. I also worked on my draw to first shot alphas at 30'. When racing against the timer I tend to snap at the target a bit, resulting in a left charlie. I was getting most draws within 1.08-1.2 with either an alpha or a charlie. I'm going to back my par time down a bit and set to it where I'm only shooting alphas. The fastest draw in the world won't help if you aren't getting your point. I'm thinking 1.3. In dryfire without pull I can get this down to .7, so I have a lot of room to work with. Looking forward to the match this weekend. It's pretty small, but I need to get back in it after last weekends performance. All I have to do is see my hits and the time will take care of itself.
  21. I purchased Steve Anderson's second book because, why the hell not? I've decided to up the shooting Ante by shooting two live fire sessions a week at 100 rounds each. One of these sessions can be subbed for a local mini match at a nearby range. I will also be accompanying this with 5-6 dryfire sessions of 1 hour+ a week. I'm trying to get focused for this coming match on Sunday. It's time for back to basics. When I shoot my own game and hunt alphas I do very well. No more artificial "trying" this time.
  22. They do look pretty sweet. I just seen and heard of so many strikers breaking on M&Ps that I couldn't carry one. Does anyone know if they have addressed this issue on the shield?
