  1. Move it 48 clicks right and up then try again. It should move that much.
  2. Why does everyone try to combine "tactical" and 3 gun? Looks okay other than the pistol grip, collapsible stock. With how many people are doing load two and quad loading, why put a pistol grip on it?
  3. It's a shotgun, grip it and rip it.
  4. Sounds like a misaligned gas block
  5. Thanks, I just switched to a rubber city carrier and Taccom buffer but haven't had a chance to test yet. I'd be curious to see a review from you with your thoughts on the different rifle setups.
  6. Jesse what's the total reciprocating weighty of the TI bolt carrier and Taccom setup ?
  7. https://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/mobile/product/82638/colt_competition_rifle_pro_semi-automatic_223_remington556 Try this it's a colt crp18 for 1572 from buds guns these are excellent rifles
  8. It does most everyone. I'd say as long as the gun can shoot 1.25 Moa at 100yds off a bench you are good to go. With a gun this accurate I've made 1st round hits out to 500yds and trust me I am no great rifle shot. The main this is get something reliable, accurate and a decent scope. Know your drops when shooting distance. I couldn't believe how many guys were missing 3 and 400yd targets because they didn't know their holdovers.
  9. I have a 1/8 barrel. I haven't shot any heavy loads out of it yet but it has shot 55gr and 62gr at about 1moa.
  10. An 18" will recoil smoother and a little softer because of the rifle length gas system. Most guys run 18 but nothing wrong with 16" either.
  11. I've been there. I started with a dpms 3g1 and have been modding it as I've "seen necessary". I wish I would've spent the money on all the parts on ammo instead. I really like the end result but I would have been better served by ammo and practice . The gun ran great before the mods and would have served me a long time before I really needed anything.
  12. If you're new to 3 gun I would buy a cheaper makers rifle an optic and a pile of ammo. You will learn more of what you really want in a rifle by doing this as well. A JP is great no doubt but a stag or dpms 3g1 won't hold you back. Now if I could just learn to take my own advice.
  13. It looks okay but is the barrel threaded? If so you still need a comp and that's a lot of coin for not a lot of gun. I would look at a stag, Samson, or dpms rifle first. They have specific 3 gun models and run about 500$ cheaper.
  14. Springs are cheap, why not change out yearly?
  15. Wow alma. I never thought anyone would get that reference. I'm impressed
  16. I'd torque it correct and cut the nub off. Mil spec nuts are relatively cheap.
  17. You'll definetly want sun flower seeds for heavy steel.
  18. Kurt machine vice, R8 collet set, DRO, a cool mist setup would be a nice accessorie as well. Power feeds are nice as stated above but not necessary. Lots of practice material and a good mill selection would be nice too. Have fun. Any questions feel free to pm me.
  19. Taran tactical. I get 21 in all and a reloadable 20
  20. I would be curious to see a parts cost break down on getting the ACR up to speed. You can get a typical 3 gun setup AR for 1200-1450. A typical JP runs around 2250 as is arguably the pinnacle in AR design. A bushmaster ACR from buds guns runs 2046 for a factory configuration from what I've found.
  21. I guess running an ACR is akin to drag racing Hondas. Yeah it can be as fast but it costs a ton of money to do it in comparison. You are looking at custom bolt lightening when you can just buy a drop in part. Sure the ACR can be as good but for most people it's easier to buy drop in parts and it's a well known and refined platform. You also claimed the barrels are good to 60k and an AR to 12k but then say they are basically the same barrel? I get it you like the ACR but I don't think your going to win anybody over, the AR is just to refined at this point and can be made to shoot extremely flat.
  22. Riddle me this? If the ACR could be made to be competitive in 3 gun, why doesn't the new 3 gun team bushmaster has run them? I thought it was a cool rifle when magpul developed it, and the idea of just changing barrels to go hunting or whatever is pretty cool but I don't see this rifle making any inroads to the 3 gun community.
