  1. I shoot RFPO and RFRO because I shoot my centerfire handguns in USPSA matches. SC gives me a place to play with my rimfire guns, plus rimfires are the fastest guns in the game because you don't need to draw from a holster. I like speed. Finally, no having to reload ammunition for the matches or chase brass at the matches. That is a refreshing break from shooting USPSA.
  2. In good time. It will be publicly known when/where these and other items will be available. Thanks for asking.
  3. I shoot a Ruger 22/45 MkIII in RFPI. Wanted some some basepads so I made them. Will number the next set on the bottom opposite my initials. Whatcha think?
  4. friends don't let friends shoot XDs of any flavor. Nuff said.
  5. GOF, thank you for the info. It is an 11moa dot, you are correct. I have a 10moa CMORE RTS2 on an G17 and I like the large dot. I figured a large dot on a rimfire for steel might be sweet paired with the larger glass. thanks again.
  6. Is anyone using this optic? I have the BFF3 in 3moa and 8moa flavors and I like both, with the 8moa being superior to the 3moa for speed steel. I particularly like them for use on rimfire pistols due to the thin lense housing. I also like the top load battery feature. the glass is on the small end of the spectrum and that is what has me interested in the BFF4 because it appears, in photos, to have a much larger glass and retains the thin lense housing. Plus, the four reticles seems useful, particularly the 10moa circle dot. So, if anyone has experience with this optic, please chime in.

    CZ75 SP01 Bull Shadow

Tunachaser, that is a very nice pistol. Thank you for sharing it. I have two Accushadows with DPPs on them but I am seriously considering converting an SP01 with a bull shadow top end such as you have done here. It will be that or buying a P320 Max.
  9. I am thinking of adding a Bull Shadow top end to my cache of options to run on my SP01 frames. Does anyone have one and if so, what are your thoughts on how they feel as compared to an Accushadow. Pics would be awesome. Thank you.
  10. Here here. I jus outfitted a second CZ75 SP01 Shadow for LO. same as my CO gun with thinner aluminum grips so I can reach the thumb safety, magwell and thumb rest. Will run in a Guga Ribas race holster. Kind of excited myself.
  11. Is that a Springco unit in the production top end? If so, how do you like it compared to the factory recoil guide rod?
  12. Some clubs in my area have the option to shoot the match sat. and sun. I will be able to shoot CO one day and LO the other day using optic-equipped guns in two divisions that are not open division as I do not have nor want an open gun. Sounds like fun to me. Fun is the point, for me. I haven't given a single thought to classifiers.
  13. Who plans to try limited optics with their current carry optics gun with or without the addition of a magwell? I would include setting up a second gun of the same type as your carry optics gun but with a magwell added as the same as using your carry optics gun. I am setting up a second AccuShadow with a magwell for limited optics as my carry optics gun is an AccuShadow. I get 23 reloadable in my magazines and the trigger is plenty good enough. I am just wondering if I am alone in this approach, or are other people planning to do similar.
  14. Police trade-in G17. Burris Fastfire III 8MOA. Go shoot.
  15. I bought it at the glockstore. cannot recall any more than that.
  16. My current CO gun is a gen 2 G17. Replaced mag release with extended release. Steel recoil system. Brass grip plug. Milled for C-more rts2. Done. Works great. I love the smooth front strap on the gen 2 guns, and I love the old school dust cover with no rail. I have G19-3 and filed of the finger bumps immediately.
  17. I saw this at a local match. Shooter reports to start location which is facing up range and requires a turn -- Fluffy's Revenge 2. Shooter waits for the make ready. RO does not give it. Shooter says to RO I am waiting for the make ready so I can practice my turn. RO says, you can practice your turn before I give the make ready. Shooter faces up range, then turns and draws his pistol to air gun the stage. He does this twice. No make ready was given. Nobody said anything, including me. Shooter finishes his air gunning, RO gives make ready, shooter shoots the classifier. The poor shooter had DQed with, in my opinion, the unwitting help of the RO. I don't believe either of them were aware. I was no on the tablet.
  18. During match season, I leave 200 rounds of ammo in the trunk of the car at all times. The ammo never leaves the vehicle. That way I always have ammo for a reshoot, or for a brain fart where I left my intended ammo at home. I have left my intended ammo at home and I have used the emergency ammo to carry on. No one was the wiser. I have the same rule for batteries for optics and shot timer and hearing protection. A package of every type I need remains in the car really year round. If I am at a match chances are I drove there and will have batteries. I also have a set in my range bag just in case I got a ride with someone else. I have used the batteries for one device or another several times and many more times, given them to some other shooter whose optic died or earmuffs shut down.
  19. My 24/7/365 companion. My "noisy cricket."
  20. Planning to run one Glock with two top ends this season and try to make master in both divisions. Is that crazy? I have shot a few matches every year for several years using a 2022 conversion gun in RFPO and various other 22s in RFPI, and TacSo rifle in RFRO. I was never too serious but this year I have set some goals and plan to run the Glock. I shoot my 2022s better than the Glock conversion but I think with some dry and live fire training, which I have started, I will be able to raise my performance with the Glock and get to Master this season. Is that misguided? Should I stick with the 2022 for RFPO? Interested in opinions more informed than my own.
  21. Steve Mccormick memorial match in Sacramento, ca. area 2 match in san louis obispo. 12 club matches at SVSS in Sacramento where we run 8 stages each month. going to shoot RFPO and CO with a Glogk 17 with 22lr and 9mm top ends. trying for master by December. let the fun begin!
  22. Still rocking a gen 2 17 and like it fine. I prefer the straight front strap. I also have a ZEV- pimped gen 5 41. I like that one also.
  23. I am Interested to hear how these have performed in speed shooting. Thank you.
  24. I am just using my 2011 speed holster. I shoot a conversion built on a 2011 frame.
  25. I have two Marvel Unit 1s and a Nelson conversion as well. All are installed in dedicated 2011 frames. I have recoil springs strong enough to prevent all of them from picking up a round off the magazine using high velocity ammunition. You can achieve similar results with hammer springs. Finally, the Nelson rubber recoil buffers work on all of them and do a fine job mitigating slide/frame impact.
