This system is genius and I wish it was in place last year when I DQ'ed. My other two team-mates crushed the rest of the match but couldn't come back and still ended up dead last due to my f*#k-up. This system whould have still given them a chance to be competitive. Really it's the only way to have a match of this format and make it fair and the weighting of the stages even.

I'm just getting into reloading. This weekend I took two .223 loads out to the range to test, one 55grn and one 75gr. With the same powder charge in each the 75s hit 4" higher than the 55s at 200yards. My goal was to have the same POI at 200 and use the 55s inside 200yds and the 75s for anything farther. My question is should I try to reduce the load on the 75s or increase the 55s to change the POI? Or is there another way to go about this? I don't have access to a chrono so I cant give velocities for either load. The loads were as follows: 75grn BTHP 23.5gr Ramshot Tac 2.20OAL Crimped Hornady 55grn BT 23.5gr Ramshot Tac 2.20OAL Crimped Any help or thoughts on the subject are appreciated.

Going over the specs on the Colt it looks like the Stag is a better value. The Stag has better components at a lower price

I would go with the Bushnell. I don't see most open shooters picking up any time using the side mounted dot. If you ever decided to shoot tac-op or heavy metal optics you would already have the optic in hand. Seems like a simpler solution. The shotgun really makes open open. The rifle not so much.

Where are these available?

Anyone have any advice on the proper way to clean scope lenses? I had to dump my rifle in a barrel this weekend that had some old foam padding in it. The foam had started to degrade and left all sorts of dusty trash on my z6i. I really don't wanna scratch this thing up in an attempt to clean it. Any recommendations or suggestions are appreciated.

Anyone tried frangible slugs? I have a case of them but haven't given them a whirl yet. I think they are 5/8ths oz moving at 1800fps.

I was thinking the same. Do any of the top competitors(top 10 finishers at major matches over the past 2 years) run side irons?

Can you get 3 of those on your belt to make it through a long stage?

I tried running a suppressed 10.5" gun. The shot timer wouldn't pick it up reliably.

I know the browning ones won't work because I bought a set thinking they would. I was wrong. Not sure about the SX.

Does anyone know where I can get a shim kit to adjust the drop on my SLP stock. I haven't seen anything on brownells and I'm not sure what would interchange from other models like the SX2. Any help is appreciated.

I run one. Like the above poster I prefer to keep my head more upright while shooting.

I did this under a Vtac barricade a few weeks ago. Firing ejection port down caused a malfunction that required at least a minute, a pocket knife and a lot of cussing to clear. I think the extended bolt handle hit the ground causing the malfunction. Maybe I should have shot off my left shoulder to keep the ejection port up.

and he bought the SFP not the FFP. Very interesting scope. I'll keep my eye on this one and the forth coming Vortex 1-6x model. Thanks for the info and pictures Kurt. I think with these lower powered optics the 2nd focal plane would be better. I can't imagine using the bdc on anything other than the highest mag setting and at 1x the donut probably looks like a dot.

Do want, but 1800 would be pretty steep. It would have to be substantially less for me to consider it over another Swaro.

Great the only bow I ever shot had suction cup ends when I was 4.

I run the taller LaRue SPR 1.93 . I like being able to keep my head and eyes up when hosing targets.
