  1. OK. I have another question. What device do you use to melt the ends of the rods with? I'd like it to be small enough to throw in the range bag. Any recommendations?
  2. Thanks, but I already ordered 3 pieces. I've never done this before so I made sure I would have enough in case I screwed up the first one. And if I don't, I will have plenty of extras to put in the range bag.
  3. For now i am just going to change the rod to red. One of the things on my list of possibles is a total sight change but that will be down the road a bit.
  4. Anyone know what size fibre rod to get as a replacement for the FO front sight on the M&P Pro 9? Thanks.
  5. I'd like to also throw in my thanks for all the time and effort everyone put in. It went extremely smooth and I had a great time. Thanks!
  6. I shoot SS minor with my STI Trojan 9mm because that is the gun I own. I can't afford another pistol right now and all of my other pistols are 9mm anyway so I don't have to buy different ammo for it. But, if I were just starting out I would get a .40. You could use it for SS and Lim10 and shoot major with it. And ,if you reload, you can download and use it as a great ESP gun in IDPA if you ever shoot that sport. To answer your question, I have seen a mixed bag of both .40 and .45. A lot of it is preference and/or convenience.
  7. KC, Vogel, Todd Kunz and Corey Estill won the Cheely Custom ones.
  8. Basically, I just pushed way too hard for me and it blew up in my face.
  9. Match video of me from yesterday. Thanks to everyone involved in putting together and running the match, especially the ROs spending three days out in that heat!
  10. Al I know is I should have just left the cuffs on the first barrel and taken the penalty. It would have been better for me in the long run.
  11. I was at the match where this happened. Here is my third person . I engaged the target in question at about the 40 second mark. Also, we were the first group to shoot that stage. When we were partly done with the next stage, Kyle came over and asked if anyone on our squad shot the target from the low position, and if so they would need to re-shoot the stage as he added that FA. Nobody did. It was done fairly and I could definitely understand why the decision.
  12. Maybe not a professional one I'll be bringing the "other gear bag" & taking a bunch of pictures....probably shoot better with that too I've got one of those too! I usually just bring the video camera as that is what I use most when I am actually shooting a match.
  13. Hey. I was wondering if there is going to be a match photographer?
  14. I started out shooting Glocks , then moved to an M&P. I then moved on to an STI Trojan 1911. The 1911 is the best gun for me that I have found. But, even though I shoot the best with this particular gun, it didn't magically increase my skill level. If the Glock is currently working for you, stick with that for a while.
  15. I don't know who this corrie is you speak of but I did send mike a letter Your female alter-ego?
  16. Good luck and have fun to all those who are going to BITB III this weekend! I wish I could have made it. And take lots of video! At least I can watch some shooting!
  17. I got a pair of Speedcross 3s yesterday and they are a little snug. Does anyone know if they loosen up after wearing them for a bit? Thanks!
