  1. I don't own a tanfolgio, but it would not be acceptable to me. I expect 100%, and my CZ's have always met that standard.
  2. I currently shoot a CZ SP-01 Shadow in the production division. I was wondering if it would be worth the roughly $400 dollars to pick up the 22 Kadet conversion kit for practice. Here is the catch I only have access to a public range that only allows a single target and no draws from the holster. Pretty much all I can do is set the timer and pick up off the table and fire. But that is often not so good because the timer picks up the shots from the nearby stalls and I cant see what my time is. I do alot of dry fire practice at home to work on my transitions, reloads, and draws. It seems to me that a 22 kit would be sort of pointless with such a limited range. Thanks

    Phantom

I have been thinking about buying one of these, but its not on the production list. What gives?
  4. Have you contacted Henning Wallgren? He is pretty much the go to guy for Tanfoglio parts and advice in the US. EAA seems to be pathetic and its such a shame because the tanfoglio line seems to be excellent. http://www.henningshootsguns.com/index.html
  5. Forget plated, they don't shoot well out of some guns, they cost as much (sometimes more), and are much pickier about things like crimp settings. Montana Gold 124gr CMJs ($78/K delivered if you buy a case) would do nicely. If you don't like them, there will always be someone who will buy them from you as it's a popular weight for Open guns as well. You may want to try buying 1-200 147gr CMJs from someone that has them to see how you like the softer feeling, heavy bullet, but they are quite a bit more expensive. MG doesn't sell evaluation packs (I called). I've sent a few people 200 bullets in a USPS $4.95 flat rate box several times for just this reason...I only ask them exactly what it costs me ($26)...send me a PM if you're interested. Zeros are great bullets, but availability has been terrible over the last two years (give or take). Nothing worse than working up a load that your gun loves, only to run out, and not be able to get more for months. Precision Delta isn't as bad, but they have had some long delays (one order I had took six months). I haven't found a better all around powder for 9mm than N320, but it's not cheap. Titegroup and Solo 1000 are also good choices. R, Is Montana Gold good about not having long wait times?

    grip

I had the same problem. Blue loc-tite solved the problem
  7. My club, most to least goes limited, single stack/production, open, limited 10, revolver.
  8. agreed, best to test then buy a huge quanity and be disappointed.
  9. After doing some research I am going to go with CMJ or JHP at 124/125gr or 147gr to mimimize lead exposure. What would you recommend 124/125 jhp or cmj or 147gr jhp or cmj? I tend to think the 147's would be better at knocking down steel, but don't CZ's have problems with 147 gr JHP?
  10. I forgot to mention I want to make the reloading process as simple as possible since I have never reloaded before. I also shoot a match once a week in an indoor range and twice a month outdoors.
  11. I am new to reloading and I am going to purchase a press in the near future. What are you shooting out of your CZ 9mms for production? I want a load that will be accurate and reliable yet economical too. What is the best value for the dollar? I dont mind cleaning my gun so loads that are a bit dirtier are ok. I thought I read it here once that most of you are shooting 124 gr Montana golds CMJ using titegroup. What sort of primer are you using? Thanks
  12. I had a trigger return spring break, replaced it with the stronger custom shop version and no problems since with countless trigger pulls. Never had any other problems with my CZ's
  13. Many guns have both short dustcover and full length dust cover models available. The 1911 and CZ 75 vs SP-01, tanfolgio stock II vs limited pro come to mind. I know the full length dustcovers put weight at the nose of the gun and help with recoil reduction at the cost of a heavier gun. However, do the full length dustcovers improve accuracy? There is more slide to frame contact with the full length dust covers so it would seem to help with accuracy. Am I wrong or is the difference in accuracy not even perceptible? Thanks.
  14. I had to put extra power mag springs in my cz as rounds kept walking forward in the mags during changes causing the mags to get hung up
  15. are you sure about this? I thought the standard frame cz 40 mags held 12 https://shop.cz-usa.com/item_detail.aspx?ItemCode=11111
  16. Wouldnt the long dust cover shadow be more accurate, at least in theory, due to more slide rail bearing surface? Although in practice its probably not enough to matter.
  17. My M&P also did this. I put the apex parts that reduced the trigger pull to 2.5 pounds and it noticably reduced it. It seems to be caused by to much over travel and a heavier trigger pull on stock guns makes it worse since you must exert more force to release the striker hence you then push the trigger harder into the frame causing a slight sight disrpution. watch this video, it explains it pretty good
  18. I have tried Glocks and an M&P, always went back to the CZ. I too prefer steel guns.
  19. By the time you buy an sp01 and do all the changes you might as well have gotten a tactical sport which is much more competative in limited.

    CZ75B-SA

The kadet kit works on the 75b SA, or at least it does on mine.
  21. The front sight fell out of my pro also, I sent it back to S&W and they fixed it at no charge.
  22. Agreed I normally shoot 10 shot groups.
  23. Its my experiance that the M&P is about as accurate as the XD and Glock and less accurate then my CZ.
  24. Adding this kit and dawson precision sight cut my group sizes down signficantly. The trigger is much lighter and easier to shoot accurately. I would highly recommend it. I shoot my pro as good as my CZ 75 now.
