  1. while my tactical sport fit my hands perfectly,i've never felt good with the shadow 1 or 2. all the levers were in my grip's way. i still have 4 fully mod'ed glocks for limited . i'm trying my TS's for limited which i see as a change for a change, but honestly i too feel at home with my glocks, so i might get back to my 35 and 22 in the next few months .
  2. your best bet really is the ghost ''the one''' . i presently have mine on the bench, nearly finished ; i'm working it by small increments. then will polish the cuts made so it will look like it's been manufactured ; very clean .
  3. no. when talking with GERRY at zev,it's clear he label them 2lbs striker springs....3lbs striker spring.... or perhaps the product manager at zev is wrong?.....meh!
  4. what are you talking about? the zev comp spring kit has the 2 lbs striker spring or the standard one(3lbs).........and it work perfectly. you should check your facts before leaving random blurps and false affirmations running around this forum has been known as a site where the infos provided by their members are nearly 100% valid. don't change that with ''anything goes'''' posts please ....
  5. exactly the one i'm using on my TS.
  6. which ever connector i may pitch in my glocks,i always work them some more to extract the best trigger feel and break weight......i tried'em all,and i settled on the V4 unit because in combo with the comp spring kit and skelton striker with a 2lbs spring,it's the one who provides the best ''break like glass''' trigger and the lowest weight pull. my G17 is at a clean 2.1 lbs G35 at a crisp 2.3lbs G34 at 2.8lbs G22 at 2.5 rolling break i'm using a lyman trigger scale.
  7. all i know is the higher your grip, the more likely you might hit it on your way for the first targets with a mag falling on the ground. i figure it's a matter of how of a big paws you have to work with lol. i had the zev unit, but replaced it with an extended oem unit. no more mags falling inadvertedly on the 1st shot lol.
  8. i'm working on my new ''ghost the one''' holster to fit my 34 and 35 equiped with the toni system set up. the only thing i'm still not sure about is the barrel support that comes with the holster.i don't feel the need for it, but it seems like the plate holding it on the holster would need some grinding , for the gun to sit straight once locked in. there's also a white buffer which is screwed in the holster .not sure if this has to be used as a leveling device,so the gun rubs against this buffer instead of rubbing on the metal plate who holds the barrel support rod. i'm being carefull with this job.once the dremel starts to eat the material, there's no turning back lol. will post the end result once it's done.
  9. i use the race master magnetic ,which uses the same internals than the master-X . just be warned that ts's or for that matter tso's are not all equal lol. the trigger guard can be slightly different in thickness from one unit to another...which means, yeah it might rattle a little. for my TS,i ordered the CM insert at first, but the gun was sooo loose in the holster that i've returned it in favor of the sp01 insert. this one,you have a very light sanding to perform to make it fit snuggly . which i did and couldn't now be happier with it. point being, be aware that unless you choose to get the sp01 insert, then work it yourself for a perfect fit, it's likely you may (or not ) have to live with a gun moving around a little once locked. as for the baseplates,i simply made my own custom aluminum baseplates with a set screw so they won't pop out the mags on landing.
  10. i'm using the tungsten GR units in all my limited.on my 35 i use a non captured,on my 17 and 22 i use captured. while the metal is less dense than steel, i see no issue with the ones installed on my guns. my 22 has over 100k with the tungsten unit.still going strong .
  11. get a gen 3 GR with the washer.done. then you are free to experiment with different recoil springs.
  12. i have their heavy brass basepads on my limited 35 .very heavy.had to trim them a little on the bottom to be able to enter the standard box . on my 9mm glocks i got the brass maglock(glockstore). maybe a little lighter than the TF ones, but it still add some noticeable weight.
  13. i've finally received my new ghost ''the one''' for my limited glocks sporting the toni system frame weight-thumb rest . i now have to figure out how to perform the mod and make it as clean looking as possible. thanks to all the posters in this thread and to PAUL 49 for bringing the ghost option ; i think this ghost holster is the most best looking-functionnal unit out there for this specific glock set up. while i'm not in love with the locking system ,and over anything , the quality of the locking ''ball'' made of plastic which feel cheap ,i'm gonna get used to it in no time.
  14. is it a toni system mod'ed unit they sell on their website? don't know who offer this holster, they're goin to sell quite some as they're the 1st one selling a speed holster to accomodate this increasingly popular set up. very neat.i love what has been done to the ghost unit ; does it involve cutting in the material only or did they had to relocate some of the holster's internals ? very cool
  15. awesome family.really.
  16. wow. integral black looks mean. very special. i like the slide lightening work. you ripped quite some weight off that slide ; must be quite faster now. from the pic it looks like you removed the material on the front and rear to keep the weight distribution equally spread ?. after 10 years on this forum witnessing your addiction to TS's, i now get it since i've catched the illness too hahaha....i'm at my third TS build . it's a gun meant to be customized.
  17. swapping mags is a part of the game i really like
  18. those thick barrels calls for 40S&W.would so be all over a DA-SA bull shadow in 40
  19. depending on how good i replace my support after a reload, it may be one of the two scenarios. both works equally, while of course the more forward and close to the muzzle we're the more control we get......this is how it goes with glocks. you need a near perfect grip so the muzzle stays inside a quarter diameter.
  20. the main feature of the vogel grip is the height where he put his trigger hand. as for the rest, he explained very clearly that he has a near dead grip on the gun: he grip very hard, and also he apply a counter force right-left like a clamp does. my point is that whatever you put your support thumb quite far toward the muzzle, you can use the intended location of the thumb rest which put your support hand far forward on the frame....me, i prefer the advanced position like you see on the pic. «buuut,in any case, you still can put your thumb on the top of the thumb rest block ,which act as the same, even providing more down force . i also use the vogel grip, but to me, the only crucial part of his grip is the height of his trigger hand, and the strenght he applies on the gun. as for the thumb rest, toni system also offer a traditional gas pedal that fit their frame weight.
  21. remember that the companies who builds complete trigger systems for glocks are trap'ed with liability , even if it is stipulated that they're not responsible regarding the failure that could result into someone getting wounded for whatever reasons implying one of their units. that is the only reason as the why they don't provides triggers tuned to the fine edge. however, the glock trigger system has some room left for a lower weight break and good feel ,but you must know what to do,and on what parts of the system. at one point, yes you must reshape some profiles, and yes, you must remove some material instead of only polishing IF one wants to extract 100% of the system. i've myself ruined perfect trigger bars in the process, then at one point in the trial fail-sucess,you can identify where the gains can be made.
  22. CR speed wsm2 with some little sanding. Saul is supposed to work at drwing a new race master magnetic to accomodate this now increasingly popular set up....but i'm not holding my breath on it honestly, while if ever it happens,i will get one as soon as available.
  23. i won't go into fine details, but to achieve a sub 3lbs trigger break with zev's system you need to reshape the striker leg and trigger bar tab (the part of the bar rubbing against the connector). your 4.5 trigger seems high to me as polishing alone should drives you into the mid 3lbs range ,this assuming you have the comp spring kit installed. you might want to consider that guys like johny glock and Daniel from DK trigger can get you the same kind of light trigger with stock parts with different springs . me i went the ZEV way because their V4 connector and striker. the rest of the system is only cosmetic, yet, i like the feel of the larger trigger surface of the zev unit.
  24. i'm a fan of the zev units....BUUUT, they still need some work to extract the best out of em.....with the complete ultimate trigger kit, i'm getting a very crisp 2.1lbs trigger break, and not a rolling break. more like a glass.....and no, it is not true that at this point the safeties aren't working anymore. mine are intact,on the three limited glocks i own and use at the games.
