Impressive! What grips are those?
-
Have you all seen the Fire 4 Effect milling? Pretty impressive how low they can get with their proprietary method.

Plus one for the AXG Pro. The AXG grip changed my mind about the P320 platform. Great ergonomics, nice trigger undercut, just feels like there is better feedback through it. The Legion feels like a heavy brick in comparison IMHO.

Fantastic suggestion! Trying to SO a squad as a volunteer and having rules "lawyers" argue with you FOR A FREAKING LOCAL MATCH, all due to the vague wording of may of the rules...

New here, had my first match this weekend

You can easily go back and forth with a magazine tube extension. Nordic is a good vendor. Your choke will depend on the range, of course. Modified is a good one. -
Got to this one late, sorry! Is the tear a midsubstance muscle tear or a tendon tear? BIG difference in prognosis and healing time!

Phoenix Redback x Patriot Defense Brass Grips
CGoodwin replied to mule169's topic in "Other" & Pistol Comparisons
Same! I kind of work around it resting my strong hand thumb off the frame on the back of my support thumb. Trying to wrap my arthritic thumb over the safety ledge is pretty painful! -
It is SO comfortable. I may mill the finger ledge on the right side of the gun down a little as it catches my trigger finger going from frame index to the trigger. Getting some Tactical Development magazine base pads to improve my ability to strip a 12 round mag as needed.

This is not helping me! Finished my P365XL build as I feel like the "comp" is a solution looking for a problem. Now I need to lay my hands on an X Macro...

Phoenix Redback x Patriot Defense Brass Grips
CGoodwin replied to mule169's topic in "Other" & Pistol Comparisons
Nice looking grips, back on topic! I have a Redback Ultralight that I was considering. https://lokgrips.com/phoenix/redback/specialty/phoenix-redback-thin-brass-w-g10-bogies-insert/ What kind of pricing do you expect? -

Sorry to hear that! Would love to hear more detail; how long you have had the issue, aggravating and easing factors, treatments and diagnostics.

The idea of heat versus ice for musculoskeletal injury being of any significant importance to the healing process is WAY overrated. The actual change in local blood flow changes by +/- 1.5% MAX. The greatest effects of thermal modalities are neurologic rather than mechanical/vascular. I always tell my patients (after the first 3-5 days), "Whichever one feels better, do it!" You get a more significant vascular effect with gentle, submaximal load, movement. In this case, elevated calf pumps - gently flexing your foot up and down through the easy, pain free range for 3-5 minutes every couple of hours. Progress to performing seated heel and toe raises without resistance or pain. PT, performed properly, will help reduce the pain and promote healing. Target tissue training and manual therapy will help to resolve most deep muscle tears within 4-6 weeks.

Where is the frame cut? Picking up an optic ready Shadow 2 locally on Monday from the original owner.
-
I've had this issue with one shop I no longer use. I had them mill the slide and than I mounted the optic when I received it back. Guess what their response was... I sent the slide and the optic back to them and it came back mounted with the identical issue. When I asked they basically said I was acting stupidly and the set up was fine. I placed the SRO on a perfectly flat surface and it is absolutely true, sent pictures. The recoil bosses were cut badly and the pocket was a little too tight. A little file work and I got it worked out, but I will never use ZR Tactical again.

RHT holster for Phoenix Redback
CGoodwin replied to Fasthenk65's topic in "Other" & Pistol Comparisons
No issues with the Bjorn Tactical holster for me in matches. Retains well and draws just fine. Having said that, I'd still be in for a RHT! -
Interesting! I've owned a MPX previously and liked it a lot. The weight is really not significant IMHO. I do get a stiff charging handle when it gets dirty, kind of frustrating for the cost!

Mine has the Larue MBT in it. Very smooth and light!
