  1. It comes down to it's not what you say, it's how you say it... Like a prior poster said, be familiar with the rules of what ever game you play. Be safe and have fun. Jan
  2. 1+ for what Jim said, also very funny "Tactical Timmy" reference!! Jan
  3. I went crazy when I first started reloading...I purchased a tool head bolt down kit. Got the head all bolted down and guess what...still had OAL variances!!! As previously stated, as long as it's minimum, shoot 'em up!! Jan
  4. Totally! First and probably not last time!!!! Jan
  5. FORGOT MY HOLSTER!!!!!!!! Lesson learned, have a checklist and use it! I loaded up the car the night before and thought I was all good. Met my buddy in the parking lot and saw his gear and almost puked! Luckily the MD allowed me to shoot from the low ready position, many thanks to him. Scores won't count, but it was good practice. Jan
  6. That's really nice! Good luck with it!! Jan
  7. Hi Michael, I've bought and sold several things on this forum. On every transaction I have felt like I've made a friend, it goes without saying, never been shafted. When selling, on items say <100.00, I like to make it as easy as possible for the buyer. On larger items a money order is the safest bet. When buying, I always do what ever the buyer feels most comfortable with, even when it involves the dreaded PO! Jan
  8. I didn't mean any disrespect...nor do I want to turn this into a reloading thread. I have only reloaded a few thousand rounds of 38SC and started with new brass and try to pick up as much as I can. If you scoop up range brass to reuse, how can you tell it's condition besides obvious cracks/bulges? Thanks Jan
  9. Junk brass? In a 9mm open? Really? I would use some good brass, just my .02 Best of luck with the new blaster! Jan
  10. Hi All, My smith said he has seen the DAA mount loosen from recoil at the slide and blast shield. I agree, I'm too mental to trust the zero after removal!! I think I'll stick with an Alchin! Jan
  11. I'm having a new open gun built. 38SC with upright scope mount. I was wondering if anyone had any experience or thoughts on either of these mounts. http://speedshooter.com/product_detail.cfm?ID=DASM http://speedshooter.com/product_detail.cfm?ID=CASM The Cape mount seems interesting in that you can remove the Cmore w/o having to re-zero the scope. Thanks in advance, Jan
  12. This is awesome info! You can also do what I did: Step 1. Send gun to Dan Bedell Step 2. Write Check Step 3. Get gun back with sweet ball detent retained sidewinder!!! Jan
  13. I wear gloves for the shotgun sports: Skeet, Sporting Clays, etc. Not for USPSA. 1+ for pro grip! None of the pros wear gloves that I know of. Jan
  14. My wife is small as well. I got her the M and P Julie Goloski edition. It's a great gun and she loves it. Jan
  15. I run super comp. More reliable, stronger brass. I use TJ interchangeably with SC. Regards Jan
  16. Do you guys sight in from a sand bag rest or a vise type like a ransom? Thanks Jan
  17. I have used both interchangeably, but in 38SC major loads with similar results. You'll really need to chrono as was mentioned to be sure. Jan
  18. I too picked up a great used Open gun to get my feet wet. I am going to sell it soon to finance a new Dan Bedell built gun. Jan
  19. I'm using 124gr JHP in my .38 super open gun and 9mm production. 1+ for production self defense loads.
  20. Totally save up for the Dillon primer filler...couldn't imagine loading without it!!
  21. Just got a case of 124gr JHP .355's and no tears!!
  22. 650 all the way. Money well spent. 1+ for BE also!!
  23. It's been my experience that 124gr JHP MG's work the best in my gun, you can generalize in most cases. However extreme accuracy has many variables that have been touched upon.
