I backed the crimp off to .378 and tried 1.130, 1.140, 1.150 OAL, 4.0g Solo 1000. (all spun freely and dropped in/out of the the barrel) The tumbling is gone. I was able to do 1.5-2" groups with all 3 loads so I am going to stick with the 1.130. This is a much softer load than my current 1.100 3.9g tg 124g Frontier plated load. Both make ~132pf

Mine are at .375. I will back it off and go try them again this afternoon.

The bullets are tumbling. Any ideas?

4.3g 1.130 = avg 137 pf. 4.0g 1.130 = avg 132pf 4.0g 1.100 = avg 134 pf. These were all with a Bayou 124g RN bullet and felt much softer than my current load with Tight Group. (3.9g TG, 124 Frontier RN, 1.100)

Thx for the input. I just tested a bit longer and I can twist freely in the barrel so I will try the longer OAL as well.

Measure the bad rounds at various points to see where the bulge is. Usually its towards the bottom or the bottom of the case has start ended to get oblong. (Open shooters making major with 9mm)

3.9g tg 124 plated bullet and a 1.10 oal make a very consistent 131pf in mine. I have not played with the oal but I'm told the cz like a little shorter length.

Im still learning on my new SP01 but in the fist 2 matches i never noticed the da like i thought i would. I need to speed up off the draw but im sure this will come with practice and time.

Hello all, I wanted to get feedback from the club regarding shooting my carry gun (G19) in a match to ensure my skills are honed with this blasphemous plastic relic. The match would be a level I steel competition run in production. What do you think?

On big difference will be with the magazines. You will need to pop them open and brush them out after every few stages if its a dusty range. I sold off all my plastic guns and have never looked back! PS what ever you do don't prep the trigger on the 2011. They go bang.

While this guy who calls himself fastluck (we call him Donkey ) has had some indiscretions, I do think he is just the sort of candidate this elite club is looking for. He regularly represents the jmb design honorably. In addition, i have personally heard TGO complement his run. (Although it pains me to admit it) I am not a voting member, but he would have my vote if I was. Ps. Where rimcrew lacks in stature, he is more deficient in credibility! Tgo held back no punches when commenting on his match 1911.

4.7gr Tg 1.180 and a winchester primer makes 171pf out of my 5" limited gun very consistently.

How often do you clean the tubes? Try a silicone rag (reel cloth in the fishing departments work well) on the springs. My wilsons never had an issue??

I run solo 1000 bit have not been successful making a major load. 4.7 grains got me to a 160pf (very soft feel) but im hiesetent to go to the max of 4.8 on a 180g mg. Tg made major with 4.7 out of the same gun. (5" dawson limited)

How did everyone end up that shot the wsssc? I was 73rd overall and felt like I shot a much better match than last year. (Still 4th in C though)

Someone needs to design a 1 piece system for the 6" single stack. I have launched 2 into the hills from the safety area.

230g Zero FMJ 4.7 grains solo 1.260 made a 170pf on the match chrono. The Frontier CMJ's usually take about .2g less to make the same power factor.

Anyone shooting the Western states single stack match at Rio salado? I will be working the match and am trying to comeup with something fun for the club members.

4.5g solo 1000 on a MG 180 JHP, 1.180 was in the 850 range on my 5". I'm bumping it to 4.7 to make major. I was close with a Frontier plated as well. (860ish same 4.5 load)
