  1. I loada lot of .38 Short Colt on my Dillon 750 with a bullet feeder and a case feeder. Station one, .38 sizing die Station two, Mr Bullet Feeder powder funnel Station three, Mr Bullet Feeder dropper die Station four, 9mm seater die Station five, 9mm crimp die
  2. So a U die has a U on the neck? I'm shocked, shocked I tells ya
  3. Yet The primers aren't flattened, and are nowhere near as bad as 9mm major. Also a 627 is a .357 magnum rated gun. As always, always follow published load data, not my nonsense posted on the internet. Be safe, ymmv
  4. So Clays powder is virtually unattainable. Clay Dot is and it's more or less the same thing. Here's my 9mm load Name: 9mm: 147gr Blue RN: Clays 2.75gr: Fed Case: OAL 1.190: S&W 929 Notes: S&W 929 Shots: 8 Average: 858 ft/s SD: 9 ft/s Min: 841 ft/s Max: 867 ft/s Spread: 26 ft/s Power Factor Average: 126 Power Factor Low: 123 Power Factor High: 127 Barometric Pressure: 29 in Hg Temperature: 81 F Weight: 147.0 gr. 5. Sure, use 9mm load data as a starting point. Here's my load Name: .38 Short Colt: 160gr Bayou.RN: Clays 3.1gr: Starline Case: OAL 1.2 Notes: S&W 627 Shots: 4 Average: 816 ft/s SD: 18 ft/s Min: 787 ft/s Max: 836 ft/s Spread: 49 ft/s Power Factor Average: 130 Power Factor Low: 125 Power Factor High: 133 Barometric Pressure: 30 in Hg Temperature: 63 F Weight: 160.0 gr. 6. .38 Short Colt and 9mm cases have roughly the same internal capacity. Any load data for 9mm can be used.
  7. They didn't in mine. Every gun is different.
  8. The WRC and the IRC are two different organizations with more or less the same rules, equipment and people.
  9. The 2023 WRC (World Revolver Championship) held in Morro Bay California is in the books. It was really well run, and a lot of fun to shoot. Expect next year's match to be even bigger and better. Unfortunately my brain was in slow motion all weekend (as evidenced by the videos, expertly shot by Chris Stadler) but here are the stages. I'm shooting an S&W 929 9mm with a five inch barrel. Enjoy
  10. Crimped primers? Popped de priming pin? Norma cases?
  11. I think it's the other way around, a straight walled case in a tapered cylinder.
  12. Yep, I'm at 1.19 also. For both .38 Short Colt and 9mm in my revo's.
  13. I tried, but it was easier to just use .38 Short Colt. Which is more or less a 9mm case with a rim. I measured the internal capacity, and they were basically the same.
  14. I wonder if it will tumble. Only one way to find out
  15. How deep? All the way until it bottoms out.
  16. This is my revolver load Name: 9mm: 148gr Blue RN: Win 231 3.3gr: Fed Case: OAL 1.195: S&W 929 Notes: S&W 929 Shots: 4 Average: 860 ft/s SD: 11 ft/s Min: 843 ft/s Max: 872 ft/s Spread: 29 ft/s Power Factor Average: 127 Power Factor Low: 124 Power Factor High: 129 Barometric Pressure: 29 in Hg Temperature: 72 F Weight: 148.0 gr. 17. Wayne Nordwell, is that you buddy ? Long time, no visual. How you been?
  18. Your chrono is probably fine Name: 9mm: 124gr Xtreme RN: Cleanshot 4gr: Mixed Case: OAL 1.140 Notes: Para 1911 5" Shots: 13 Average: 1057 ft/s SD: 7 ft/s Min: 1044 ft/s Max: 1073 ft/s Spread: 29 ft/s Power Factor Average: 131 Power Factor Low: 129 Power Factor High: 133 Barometric Pressure: 30 in Hg Temperature: 69 F Weight: 124.0 gr. Powder: Cleanshot 4.0gr Case: Mixed Primer: Rem SPP Bullet: Xtreme 124gr RN OAL: 1.140 Gun: Para 5" 1911
  19. I had problems with factory 9mm ammo. Tons of bullet creep, and light hits. Factory 9mm typically isn't crimped and the primers are hard. Not to mention some of it is a 140+ powder factor.
