  1. Flyin Thumb on safety points at 11 o clock. Weak hand points straight ahead. It feels great, I couldn't be happier. George
  2. Being blessed with more than ample hands, Slide Bite has paid a visit on more than one occasion. Here's my fix. I cut a piece of stainless escutcheon plate and formed it to the contour of the STI thumb safety. I had a friend who is a Grand Master of TIG tack it in place. Some cleaning up, additional contouring and polishing and my problem is history. This little honey really works well for me. Lowers my thumb and web and moves the thumb down, out and away from the slide.
  3. Paul, Did you install this on a 2011 ? Thanks Yes it's will install on a 2011,it is a single sided safety. King, It's sounds like you have actually done an install on a 2011, if so, how much material did you remove from the grip or did you remove all of the material for clearance from the safety ? There dosen't seem like there is a lot of material on the safety to work with. Thanks, George

  15. BBQ RULES We are about to enter the BBQ season. Therefore it is important to refresh your memory on the etiquette of this sublime outdoor cooking activity . When a man volunteers to do the BBQ the following chain of events are put into motion: Routine... (1) The woman buys the food. (2) The woman makes the salad, prepares the vegetables, and makes dessert. (3) The woman prepares the meat for cooking, places it on a tray along with the necessary cooking utensils and sauces, and takes it to the man who is lounging beside the grill - beer in hand. (4) The woman remains outside the compulsory three meter exclusion zone where the exuberance of testosterone and other manly bonding activities can take place without the interference of the woman. Here comes the important part: (5) THE MAN PLACES THE MEAT ON THE GRILL. More routine... (6) The woman goes inside to organize the plates and cutlery. (7) The woman comes out to tell the man that the meat is looking great. He thanks her and asks if she will bring another beer while he flips the meat Important again: (8) THE MAN TAKES THE MEAT OFF THE GRILL AND HANDS IT TO THE WOMAN. More routine... (9) The woman prepares the plates, salad, bread, utensils, napkins, sauces, and brings them to the table. (10) After eating, the woman clears the table and does the dishes. And most important of all: (11) Everyone PRAISES the MAN and THANKS HIM for his cooking efforts. (12) The man asks the woman how she enjoyed ' her night off ' and, upon seeing her annoyed reaction, concludes that there's just no pleasing some women! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

  17. In an attempt to reduce my absorption of lead, I have been doing some research on using a Barrier Cream on my hands. I have found 2 products - Kerodex 71 - 4 Oz for 4.99 and Gun Glove from Brownell's - 2 Oz for 5.95. Any one using a barrier cream ? Any experience with these products ? Any insight or suggestions, greatly appreciated. Thanks
  18. A.T. After doing some research the Barrier Cream I found is called Gun Glove. Available at Brownell's or on the internet.
