  1. So I think I understand what eye releif is better now. 4" eye relief is the max distance before losing viewing angle. The optic should work inside of that distance
  2. So how does the eye relief of 4" work with the ACOG mount on a flat top receiver? My TA11 has 2.39" eye relief, sits all the way at the end of my receiver and is not as long as the VCOG. I don't want to have to mount my optic on my handguard. I will have to play with one before I buy it I think
  3. I can use 40 mags on my 9mm HK P2000SK without issue, but I thought I tried this with my m&p and it wouldn't work I will have to try it again
  4. I was thinking about going with the MK6 but I think I will try this one instead
  5. been waiting a long time to see something like this from Trijicon
  6. A while back I heard about these guys making good replacement springs for the SLP and SX shotgun pistons. http://gas-piston-springs.com/order_springs.html but it looks like they no longer are making or offering them Does anyone know where I can get replacement springs or is my only option a factory spring or replacement piston? Does anyone happen to have an extra one of these springs they would be willing to let go of? I am not really considering sealing the piston at this point. Thanks
  7. Of the different brands I have played with, I like the SVI ambi safeties the best
  8. SVI is the first to make this a standard option as far as I know. They are using a specific frame, barrel, and slide for these. They use a standard length guide rod so the rails on the frame, barrel, and slide are made the .4" longer than a 5". You can get bushing, bull, or sight tracker barrel configurations.
  9. They make a 5.4" sight tracker model along with some of the shorter lengths. Great option for those who can't decide between the 5" and 6".
  10. The stainless vs steel grip is a minor deal. The DLC finish is super durable and you may save some money going with the steel over stainless. Unless you drag the thing behind a truck that finish should not wear. Plus the steel they use has slightly better material properties than the 416 stainless. The 416 stainless has the better corrosion resistance and the DLC coating will be taking care of you there. I would see if the price difference is substantial enough to make the change though. You shouldn't be disappointed either way.
  11. They normally do internal lightening on 6in guns. I would make sure to ask for it to be sure. A radial flute would remove a little extra weight in the slide too.
  12. I have some minor points that I would like to mention. If you are doing a DLC coating I would do a steel grip instead of stainless. I would also suggest the signature grip over the large unless you have held both and truly like the large better. Mike Burrell has some monster hands and the signature fits his hands great. Also, the long flat trigger is pretty long even for someone with big hands. Just some opinions of mine. Looks like a sweet build. You will enjoy it.
  13. Unfortunately you can not flip the mag catches for the steel grips. It would go in, but the shelf that holds the mag in the gun would be facing the wrong direction. I run a left handed mag catch on my steel grip Infinity and ordered a right handed one with the gun just in case someone else would use the gun.
  14. The one with the left handed mag release is mine. I really like the balance of the gun compared to 5" or 6" guns. I would take more pics of it, but they would not turn out as good as the ones in the slide show.
  15. I got a choate extenson on my 870 and while it is not as nice looking as a Nordic, it was affordable and is sturdy. The blued finish matches my gun a little better than the anodized aluminum.
  16. My father put a CMC in his and it works great for him.
  17. did you mean to post the same pic 4 times? Very different look. It should stand out for her.
  18. I would highly doubt you would hate it. I have not met some one who has. Not saying they don't exist, but I have never hear that someone hated their sight tracker with all thing equal to another gun. Bottom line is you have less mass in the slide moving back when the gun cycles then compared to an identical gun with a bull barrel, and a little more weight on the muzzle of the gun due to the extra mass of the rib.
  19. Here is a picture of my SX3 loading area. I did this with a dremel and sand paper. I do weak hand and load 2 with it. Much more comfortable than stock
  20. I use a ghost and a bladetech for mine. I am happy with both at the moment.
  21. These look interesting. Looking forward to hearing more.
  22. I have the JP EZ trigger kit and after I got it all set up it I could not tell the difference between it and another that was an original JP kit installed by JP. I am very happy with it. I think I will look into trying the CMC kit at some point to compare.
  23. I split the difference and got a 5.4" Infinity with a lightened slide and a bushing barrel to keep weight out of the front of the gun. I liked the balance of the 5.4 best. Plus my 5.4" will fit the box for IPSC so I can use it for almost everything. I don't think there is a right or wrong answer however.
