  1. You’re right. Not really a train wreck. That was a bit harsh.
  2. The round he racks out is not in battery.
  3. Than your builder doesn’t know how to build a 9mm. If any builder can’t get a 9mm to feed short factory ammo he needs to find another profession. I test all the 9mm I build with reloads and factory. Then again I cut all my own feed ramps…etc.
  4. Yep. His first attempt had a failure to feed. The rest was good.
  5. Looked like a train wreck with a failure to feed.
  6. Lol. Yes sir!! I’ll stick with building guns and leave the comedy to the pros. Back to the grind.
  7. The kind you can’t see through. Sorry I couldn’t resist.
  8. This is why there’s no drop in parts on 1911’s. Your sear may be outa spec. Frame holes out of spec…. Etc. what you were attempting without proper knowledge wasn’t a good idea.
  9. I machined the slide fixture to accept the barrel being in there.
  10. Lol. It can all be fixed brother but I definitely hear ya.
  11. Thank you. I appreciate the compliment. Or just the observation. Lol
  12. You’re going to want holes in a 38sc.
  13. 9mm is a no brainer. Any builder having an issue with 9mm factory should seek other employment
  14. All the 2011’s I build are also tested on factory. I cut all my own feed ramps and they run on factory ammo.
  15. You realize it’s all the same parts minus the actual trigger right. A 1911 can have the same trigger pull weight and be as reliable. I wouldn’t have a pound and a half for a carry gun though.
  16. Man I wouldn’t be happy at all. No attention to detail and the top of that grip safety to fame. Ouch.
  17. So your saying the large block of stainless steel costs the same as the aluminum block. Lol. Plus I would definitely think machining aluminum is easier on cutters.
  18. That looks more like anodizing than any cerakote I’ve ever seen.
  19. Yep. Not as good as new. Lol. But definitely seen slides go another 30-40k with that same crack and never become an issue.
  20. You’re over thinking it. That crack is fine.
