Than your builder doesn’t know how to build a 9mm. If any builder can’t get a 9mm to feed short factory ammo he needs to find another profession. I test all the 9mm I build with reloads and factory. Then again I cut all my own feed ramps…etc.
This is why there’s no drop in parts on 1911’s. Your sear may be outa spec. Frame holes out of spec…. Etc. what you were attempting without proper knowledge wasn’t a good idea.
You realize it’s all the same parts minus the actual trigger right. A 1911 can have the same trigger pull weight and be as reliable. I wouldn’t have a pound and a half for a carry gun though.
So your saying the large block of stainless steel costs the same as the aluminum block. Lol. Plus I would definitely think machining aluminum is easier on cutters.
