  1. Dean, Last weekend Pitt County Wildlife Club hosted a Level 1 RO class, and we now have many new RO's in the area that I'm sure would be glad to help. The match date may conflict with other matches in the State, but my guess would be you should get a great draw from the western part of the State as well as lower Virginia. All the displaced ICORE folks now have another way to burn it down 6 at a time. Would be great if some of the local IDPA crowd joined in to enjoy a slightly different aspect of our sport, SHOOTING !!!! Count me in for any help
  2. Just finished the class this weekend for USPSA Level 1 RO, taught by Mr. George Jones. First, a big thanks to George for , in my opinion, an OUTSTANDING class and thanks to Pitt County Wildlife Club and members, for hosting the class. Having shot my share of USPSA matches over the years, I now know what I didn't know ( well after the final exam maybe I can make that statement). For those of you who have considered taking the class, my advice would be yes. It will take up a whole weekend and was not easy, but I feel it is worth it if you enjoy the sport. I must add that it also gave me a chance to do something that I never thought could or would be done ( not that I can see any reason to do it other than why not try) perform an undetected "ghost reload" with about 30 people watching ( yes George caught what I was doing I'm sure).
  3. No doubt, I'm sure I could have come up with .10 somewhere if the sun weren't in my eyes Saturday monring. Too bad you're not famous. Make a video...... Were your eyes even opened first thing in the morning Cliff?
  4. John, I'm no longer interested in Real Estate. Tell me about your children. See you in a few weeks - bring photos. Craig My daughter is married, my oldest son is an "A" class limited shooter and will give you a run for the house, but I would be agreeable to you taking over the last year of child support payments on my youngest son. Or maybe I'll just beat you outright and get my house back, see you soon my friend
  5. We will have THE cool squad, look forward to meeting you and shooting with you
  6. Thanks for all the input. I really don't want to scope it, but my eyes don't do what they did years ago and I'm afraid it may be time to get a little optical assistance
  7. I know a long time ago, I saw an ad for a true US Property type scope mount for the M1-A rifle. I recall it to be in the $225.00-$250.00 range. Anyone know where these can be found and are they the best? I've read alot of problems with different mounts coming loose after only a few rounds. Any help or suggestions would be welcome, thanks
  8. That's what I shoot and that's my class, look forward to shooting with/against you!!!
  9. So how many revolver shooters are planning on the Carolina Cup this year? Should be a great match!!
  10. So anyone else in favor of a USPSA match with some of Dean's sick twisted stage design?
  11. I load to 1.275" for my 625, but shorter for my semi's. You may want to try thr "Lee" factory crimp die, as it also sizes the loaded round and might help your problem
  12. I deprime/resize at station 1 on a 550, and have the Dillon trimmer set at station 3, then into the tumbler to remove lube and the check flash holes for media and use the RCBS case mate to chamfer/debur. Little extra work, but you get good safe brass, also gives you a chance to find defects in the brass you may have missed before
  13. From what I see, I go 2,4 on the left targets, dump 2 rounds, reload, go 2,4,6 moving right, reload, go ding ,ding, ding, 2 on static and 1 on drop turner, reload and 2,4,6 on the right
  14. I shoot revo as well, and this is how the top guys have explained it to me,,,, in revo, a hit factor of 5 is very good on just about any medium to large stage ( one Alpha hit per second,,, 24 shot stage in 24 seconds clean is a good run). That being said, if you have to do a reload to get one Alpha hit on a disappearing target, can you do it in less than one second? Also, what if you get a "C" or "D", not worth the time,,, hope that makes sense
  15. Thanks to all who set up and worked the match, without the workers there is no match
  16. Welcome to the next best place to be other than "shooter ready,,, stand by"
  17. I'm not real crazy 'bout 'em, but how 'bout a Beretta 92? I have one (don't shoot it much) and it's very accurate and totally reliable
