  1. I use all the same headstamps for a batch of ammo (at least 500 or so) and will use that 'till it's done, then go to the next batch. I keep a closer track on trimming intervals, so keeping the headstamps the same makes it easier for me. When I have a pile of mixed stuff, I load that for 3-gun where you normally don't recover much brass anyway. As said already, some military brass is thicker, so higher pressure with same load.
  2. Speaking for myself and the 3 or 4 other revo shooters in the world, thanks for that!!!
  3. Looked like a nice run to me, how were the hits?
  4. Lets start thinking up some stage designs, and remember, Dean has a nice new Texas Star, and the Western Town is all built, and also the boat
  5. I think Gary B. is on board as well to lend a skilled hand, as soon as he is done showing off with the one handed IDPA classifiers !!!
  6. Welcome, I just got home from our local Wed night fun match and had a 10 year old compete with a Glock 19. The stage was a minimum of 42 rounds and the little man took 94 shots, but did not quit and had fun. Now you should be feeling pretty ashamed of yourself, so man up and get to a match. There are alot of great shooters in your area and you are more than welcome to drive on down to NC and shoot with us anytime.
  7. My days as speedloader champion are numbered. My arch nemisis, Bones, is coming and he has beaten me 4 times in a row with speedloaders and is the Retro champ. The odds are in your favor, oh Ruler of the USPSA revo world, Bones is due to make a mistake. If I had anything left to bet, my money would be on you, but the last time I bet on you, I lost my home to Bones, so good luck. Maybe Josh will show up and then no worries, the kid can win
  8. Thanks Gary, looks like I have to try one strong hand only with a revo, will post the results, if they are not too embarassing. Side note, would love you and your better half to be part of our new match in the late summer at Caswell, hint, hint
  9. I will be helping a new club get started in the next few weeks, we will have many new unclassified shooters, many coming from IDPA we hope, and I will set 09 classifiers as much as possible and get all data to you if that will help, and thanks for all you do for US the USPSA shooters
  10. I've been shooting "competitively" for twelve years, and that's always been the case. Is there some sport that favors slow, near-sighted, fat guys? I think I could win at that! Hey Rick, maybe we could do stationary soda cans at 15 feet with pump shotguns and birdshot, if we have no rules, they can't make any useless ones But, you've already made five or six rules, in that one sentence! The target must be a soda can, it must be stationary, it must be fifteen feet from the shooter (fourteen feet earns a PE, thirteen feet a match DQ?), it must be shot with a shotgun - only a pump shotgun - only with birdshot only. The second edtion rule book for your sport, scheduled to come out in 2013, will probably be five pages long. You'll need to define "soda can", develop some dimension and weight specs, come up with a standard target stand and target height, etc. Must be 12ga shotgun? Different divisions for different gauges? Too bad we live on opposite sides of our great Country, you and I would get along just fine my friend !!!
  11. Welcome to the best sport my friend, enjoy the shooting and the many great people you will meet

  13. Too bad we can't just go to a match and let the fastest most accurate shooter win. Wouldn't that be nice?
  14. Out of all of Georgia, only one cool revo shooter? At least we have one coming up, have a safe trip and looking forward to seeing you at the match, it will be a good one
  15. Got some from Bob on Friday, and now only have 1 left, everyone that shoots ESR, grabbed them up, these ARE THE BEST, if you shoot IDPA ESR get some, if you shoot USPSA revo, get the 4 post, they are the best and Bob's a stand up guy, just think about it, an American, making something in America, to be sold to and used by Americans, in America, seeing a trend starting to develope ?
  16. We will be having a USPSA match on the 5th Sunday in August, our first, and it will give us a chance to work out any bugs in the scoring system, if any. The first official match will be the 2nd Sunday in Sept. NC shooters, we have 2 more chances to get some USPSA trigger time before our Section match at Sir Walter in October. Please accept the invite to our shooting friends in Va. to come down and join us. The August match will be a great time for IDPA shooters to give USPSA a try, and for IDPA revo shooters, you will get plenty of reload practice !!!
  17. Played with this one today a few times and my best was an 82 with a revo. Seems that if you get all 6 off in the 5.25-5.75 sec range the hits are ok. Still can't seem to hold all Alphas. 20 years ago I could do it, but not now, hate these aging eyes !!!
  18. There's a really easy way to fix that. Add a heavy metal division. CDP pistol, 308 rifle, 12G shotgun. That's my view, lets have a grown up division with real guns and real bullets
  19. I run 230 lrn in my 625 for local matches and stick with 230 FMJ for level 2 and up. No problems with my home cast bullets, just prefer less smoke and cleaner cylinders at the bigger matches. Actually had some fun with some 160 grainers today making a soft accurate PF of 143 out of a 5" 1911. Lighter spring to run the light load, but they were pretty nice, might use them in my Glock 21 in IDPA ssp division soon.
  20. 3 ESR and 3 SSR, we are getting there, look forward to our friends from Ga. coming up
  21. Thanks Bill, we will need some help
  22. Just a thought,,,, any interest in a "Heavy Metal" class? I think it would be way cool to get the ole M1 Garand or M-1A out, with a good old stock type 1911 in 45 ACP and a 12 Gauge pump. Iron sights, as the Good Lord intended and maybe a one shot down 1 or 0 to neutralize, I don't think that anyone would argue that a .30 cal 147-168 grainer at 2600-2850 FPS would be a stopping hit. Again, just a thought
  23. This looks like fun, thanks to whoever is responsable
