Thanks for that boz, that makes sense. I guess the only way to get a move up in revo would be to hit the reload and get a few more points than 90. 90 points (all Alpha for 18 rounds) will be a 75%, just making an "A" class run. I think 120 would be tough even for Jerry, 12 Alphas at 25 yards in 6 secs would truly be a world class run with a revo
Dean, please remember before setting a start time, that USPSA matches usually take a little longer to run than the standard 6 stage IDPA match, so please keep that in mind
Thanks Eddie, it would be a great asset to have someone of your experience level help us out some. I'll see you at Pitt County and give details as they come up
Hey Fred, I just worked up a very cool load for .41 to shoot USPSA with as a backup gun to my 625. The cylinder has been machined for moonclips. I call the load .41SSS (super short special) as I've trimmed the brass down quite a bit and found a round nose mold to cast some 249 gr lrn bullets. If you are interested, I'd be glad to share my data with you.
Yes Bill it does conflict with Frank's IDPA match, but if you shoot USPSA at Dean's, you can still shoot Frank's IDPA on 1st Sunday and shoot Frank's Fun Match on the third Sunday, Frank gets people and so does Dean. Most of the IDPA crowd will most likely stay with IDPA, so it should not make too big an impact. Please spread the word and help us make this a great place to add to our NC USPSA fun, what a great area to live in !!!
I've had same problem with 150 lrn in a Glock with Lone Wolf barrel. Using 3.1 of Titegroup, but pretty heavy crimp, thanks for the replys from everyone, I will now try less crimp and see if that helps, will also try slower powder. This forum is really a great place for info, thanks Brian and all who keep it running!!
Hey George, John Z the annoying REVO shooter from the RO class in NC a few weeks ago. Have not forgotten to get my test done, the Pony Express does not come through here but once a month. Expect to see it soon, and thanks for a great class, Melinda is now our local rule go to person.
Just my opinion, but I've found that Titegroup, a great powder, seems to burn very hot in all my revos. Not much of a problem in IDPA, usually only 12 rounds per stage, but a field course in USPSA with 32 rounds, the cylinder gets VERY hot
How many revo shooters are planning to attend the IDPA East Coast Championship match in a few weeks? Will we see the current revo KING show up, you need a win bro!!!! This could be the match
