  1. Welcome, if you ever get around Raleigh, we shoot something every weekend, best of luck to you
  2. Just a thought, I've been using 195 lrn in shortened .38 brass for minor loads and they have NO recoil and are very accurate.
  3. Good answer !!!! We need a chapter of the OTIS fan club up North, you want to take the helm Bones?
  4. To all my Brothers and Sisters, Happy Birthday, Semper Fi
  5. Congrats to all that moved, lets see if the powers that be agree, lets not forget Mr. Lentz at Nationals
  6. Welcome to revo, the cool division. Comp 3's or Jet loaders are about the fastest speedloaders, and yes at some point you might want to go moonclips. Have fun !!
  7. Yes, you are gettiing old. Sorry, it had to be said by someone. While you are contributing the pain in your elbow to shooting, have you considered what the effects of pulling the lever on your reloader enough to make all those rounds that you shoot is doing? That repetitive motion can be a factor. He is squeezing in all the fun he can before his body just gives out on him. Not real good at pacing himself. My new plan is shoot often, shoot well, pop some Motrin, and die happy with dirty guns, as far as I know, as of right now there is no tax on spent brass!!!!!
  8. In this area, we have 3 USPSA per month, 5 IDPA (that I go to), occasional ICORE, Wed night fun matchs, 3rd Sunday USPSA/IDPA style fun match, occasional 3 gun and bug gun matches, with an Appleseed or 2 thrown in for good measure. My girlfriend is hooked and shoots with me, even helps pick up brass and helps in the reloading room. Life could be worse !!!!
  9. That's what you get for practicing. That's not practice Bob, 102 matches so far this year ( USPSA, IDPA and ICORE with a few fun matches, bug matches and 3-gun in for good measure), putting the North Mountain Moonclip Holder and also the IDPA legal single holder through a torture test, you are welcome for the plug !!!
  10. About 15,000 rounds of 45 ACP major through the 625 this year. Elbow pretty much sore all the time now. Switching to minor for awhile (625 going back to S&W, wore it out) to see if elbow gets better. Just me, or do others have the same problem?
  11. Welcome to revo, get the 5" prelock just because you found one, if you don't like it, I will gladly take it off your hands!!!
  12. Look at the bright side, if you have 6 shooters next time you went up 50% !!!! we had 11 and I thought we would only have 5 or 6. I shot minor for the first time and it was nice, my 625 is down for repair and I went Classic with the 686, speedloaders take some time to get used to, but the lack of recoil from major was nice for a change.
  13. Are you shooting the ICORE postalmatch Patrick?
  14. That's a good idea to use as classifier. It's hard to find matches to shoot and they classification system can take awhile. This would give everyone 4 quick classifiers. Shot a 118.35 in classic "C" class
  15. Welcome to the forum and revo world Patrick, best of luck in your shooting.
  16. Anyone have the match shot in classic division yet? Lets get some scores and classes posted as we get them shot.
  17. We had 11 shooters at Caswell Ranch for Postal Match today, this is like a world record !!!! Thanks to Dean and Bev for putting on the match (at a sure loss for them) but they might have turned a small profit if all the folks that said they wanted ICORE back at Caswell came out and actually shot with us. I for one enjoyed shooting with those that showed up, a great bunch of people and we even had a new to action shooter come out that does not even own a revo yet, and shot a borrowed gun and gear and ammo from some of us.
  18. Good luck at the match Bob, we are shooting ICORE Sunday at Caswell Ranch, might sell some more holders for you
  19. See you Sunday Will, try to bring someone, lets get more revo shooters in the area
  20. Just from my experience, Titegroup tends to burn hot and longer USPSA stages can get the cylinder too hot to touch. TG has been accurate for me, but I prefer Clays as it is much cooler burning, for me anyway, enjoy revo !!!
  21. So it's Dean, me , Joe B, and who else? Lets have enough for 2 squads !!!!!
