  1. We would love to have you shoot with us, there will be no rain, the great revo overlookers shall shine down upon us with balmy 60 degree sunny day !!!!!!
  2. Thanks Tom, we need all we can get, bring 150-200 rounds, 7 stages
  3. Should be 60 degrees Saturday and the snow should be all gone, the revo squad looks like its getting bigger
  4. You will do fine Paul, now the big question will be do I get beat by a kid or a "seasoned shooter" (that's PC for old guy), Johnny whooped my butt at Dean's with a revo 2 weeks ago.
  5. You and Danny are not qualified to give anyone pointers. C'mon Cliff, try and bring the pain in 2011. I'll buy the beer. Now there is a plan. Ply Cliff with lots of beer prior to the match...wait he does that himself. Never mind! Great time for you to bring out your roundy round gun Paul, I know you have ammo for it, do it for the boy!!!!
  6. You have NO IDEA what you have done, the boy belongs to us now, Coors is now making Coors light, light, light just for him. Now just make sure that Jesse calls Cliff before a big match, I would hate to see them both wearing the same color skirt, that would be so tacky
  7. You, my friend, are qualified. I am humbled oh grand imperial majestic ruler of the revolver
  8. Have I permission to guide the young boy in the ways of the revo in your absence oh great master of the 6 gun?
  9. Got you for our squad Tom, thanks, so far Jesse, you and me, John H, maybe my son, lets work on Scott R. and Joe H, I hope Forrest can join us again from Virginia with his charming lady, Dan H. perhaps?
  10. Don't take this the wrong way John, but that extra inch is important. You'll find getting the powder back against the primer prior to ignition will help too. Thanks for the "tip" Craig, I've heard an extra inch can make all the difference, I just compensate with heavier bullets
  11. Best of luck Doug, ever need some lead bullets, let me know
  12. We have a new Jr revo man with a new Christmas gun to break in at Sir Walter Saturday. How 'bout all the revo shooters come out and support him and have some 6 gun fun at the same time. Yes it might be cold, but last month we shot in damn near a blizzard, come on out and start the new year revo style
  13. Another young child about to enter the world of "OTIS", stay out of the bars and practice Jesse
  14. Just got a call from Jesse, the excitement of a boy, young man, on Christmas morning is what it's all about. For those of you who have not yet had the pleasure of meeting Jesse, or his younger brother Lee yet, you will soon enough. These are fine boys that are the future of our sport. Led by a mom and dad that support them, and all the fine people in our sport that are always willing to help out, these boys will be on top some day. Finally we have someone to make Mr. Lentz look over his shoulder at. As we all get older, Jesse will just get better. Jesse will be making his revo debut at Sir Walter this coming Saturady, in honor of such a festive event, I invite ALL revo shooters in the SC/NC/VA area to join us on the REVO Squad. Yes it may be cold, but you will have a chance to say you shot with a future National champ at his first revo match, that's like having a Mickey Mantle rookie baseball card!!!!!!!!!!! If only our leader OTIS could make the trip, free room and board and beer for you Cliff at our house, Merry Christmas to all
  15. Merry Christmas to all, even the bottom feeders. Time to get ready to distribute the Christmas bullets to friends and family
  16. Hey Mitch rapp, i found that adding 4% tin to my range lead makes a big difference in the quality. Would love to hear about some of your tricks, the search for perfect bullet/mold/load never ends
  17. That's odd Tom, 3.5 won't get me even close to major in my 4" JM 625, I make it at 3.9, but get much better accuracy at 4.1
  18. Besides, it's better to get my butt kicked by Mr. Lentz in 1 day and just get it over with, why drag out the pain?
  19. 1 day for me, drive up, stretch a little , shoot, go home. 2 days adds the expense of the hotel
  20. Sending my "Lee" molds back to them today. I've used their molds for 10,000's of bullets and have had similar problems. I did find that 92% range lead, 4% tin and 4%linotype gave me a good alloy, even with the Lee molds. Could be your powder (I have good results with Clays in my 625). I spent way more money on the Lyman 4 cavity mold, little longer bullet, and it seems to work better. This is not a bash on Lee, I have used many of their products over the last 20+ years and most are good, some great, some, well? Best of luck, Merry Christmas and good shooting
