  1. The movie was a big step up from The Da Vinci Code. It didn't seem as disjointed and it sticks to the book better. I think part of that is because it doesn't keep switching cities like the first. Jason
  2. I am glad to see this topic as I am just returning to IPSC/USPSA shooting after a 12 year break (kids). I remember problems in Phoenix with sandbaggers, but I was happy to see VLUC say that no one would do this. I am still picking up on the nuances of the changes. Thakns for filling in some of the spots. Jason
  3. I saw Angels & Demons this weekend (It's no longer a "special engagement" meaning you can use passes). I was pleasantly surplrised at how much better than The DaVinci Code it was. It did a reasonable job sticking to the book to. Jason
  4. The actress who played her was excellent. I personally won't look at the reflecting pool in DC the same again.... Jason
  5. After moving to Denver 2 years ago, I miss all of the available firearm venues the most!!!
  6. Phoenix is awesome for gun shops. Denver is weak compared to Phoenix (one of the things I miss). Check out Scottsdale Gun Club, Dillon, Bear Arms, Pistol Parlour, and Guns Etc. Jason
  7. I started in 1989, making me 17. I stopped shooting IPSC in 1998 - kids. Just starting up again at 37. Jason
  8. There are always reasons not to do it. If this is a life long oal or passion. go for it. Get as much help as you can. Keep us posted. Jason

I am just getting back into competition shooting, but I have an HK USPc 40 LEM and I also have a MK23 45. Which one should I use?
  10. LOL, They always appreciate it when you consider them!
  11. I love it. If I had invested $1000 in an AR-15 in Oct 2008, it would be worth $1600!!! And you would have an AR-15! Thanks for the laugh. Jason
  12. OH! SHE DIDN'T! That's crazy! This one is unfortunate since she isn't an actor! Jason
  13. 2) Call Dillon on this one. If the tube is not functioning, it may be the pick up cap. If not, Dillon will make it right. They may just send you a new tube. Jason
  14. I prefer to fly over driving anyday of the week. It's flying stand by that I don't enjoy. Jason
  15. Heavy Barrel, Thanks for the support. As a pilot for a large, Denver based airline that most either love or hate, I appreciate the support for the employees. That said, I have traveled to all 50 states and there isn't just one place to choose. If you like big cities: Boston, New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, or Seattle are favorites. If you want beach: Miami, San Diego, Norfolk, or Monterey are hard to beat. Favorite Monuments: Statue of Liberty, Mt Rushmore, The Alamo, or Providence, RI Capitol Building. Lots to choose from. Get 1000 places to see before you die. They have an awesome section on the US. Jason
  16. Don't ever underestimate a shooters determination to find what he needs. It may take little searching, but it can be found! I am not sure where to find primers in NJ, but most everyone here will recommend someplace local to keep checking with. Jason
  17. I like AA#5 for my 45's, 185 gr Ranier FP. Jason
  18. As a pilot, that wx looks awful. I will caution myself from Monday morning quarterbacking as there are numerous possibilities as to why this happened. My prayers and condolences go out to all of the families of those on board-especially the crew. Jason
  19. I liked him in the Kill Bill series.
  20. SkyScrapin' Follow your dream if that is your passion and don't listen to anyone who doesn't want to help you achieve it. History is littered with success stories that if they had given up throughout their troubles, failures, or "bumps in the road" would never have made it. One of my favorite inspiring stories is Jack Canfield-who wrote Chicken Soup for the Soul- was turned down by 144 publishers before he found one who would publish his book. The publisher only would do a 20,000 book run to boot w/only 10,000 ordered. Jack and his partner-Mark Victor Hansen agreed to buy what ever did not sell of the second 10,000 and ran with it. They then marketed their books by providing free copies to the OJ jurors to get exposure. That's tenacity, sticktoitiveness, and drive. Jason
  21. Don"t forget to check your local gun shops. Around here in Denver, they go fast and won't hold any for you, but they are getting deliveries sporadically. I was able to get 1500 LPP fro $31.95/1000 locally. No shipping or HAZMAT fee is handy too. Jason
  22. I saw this last week with my kids, parents, and wife. It turned out to be a pleasant suprise. We all enjoyed it. Don't go for the plot, but the pure entertainment and humor. Jason
  23. I really appreciate all of your advice. I believe that I am going to start with my P99 or Jericho. I can load 40 using the same dies as I use a Dillon 650, it should be an easy change. I'll just have to see how things progress. I didn't realize that everyone is scored minor in Production, so that opens up a whole new set of options. Anything else that I should know before I start is appreciated. Jason
  24. My local shops won't hold anything for you, but will let you call daily. I scored 2500 LP Primers from my local indoor pistol range. Don't forget to check at ranges too! Jason
  25. I carry a 40 for duty, so it is a caliber that I am considering. I have an HK USPc and Walther P99 in 40. The only 9mm I have is an IMI 941 Jerico. It could be a possiblity. I have an EAA Witness Stock in 10mm, but it doesn't sing for me. I have it up for trade on a few other boards as I am new here. Looking for a Glock or HK USP, but the xD would be a possiblity. Any other recommendations would be great. Jason
