Not exactly 3 Gun related, but has anyone here suppressed an M1A Socom? Just an M1A even? I have a SA Socom and a SF 300SPS, so the expensive pieces are there, but wondering if it’s a good idea to go the rest of the way.

OAL is 1.15 I haven't used them much yet, approximately 500 rounds total in the last 3 days, I got everything in the mail last Friday. I just loaded them up and going to let them sit overnight and shoot them again tomorrow.

I just got my brand new STI Maraurder 9mm, and having issues with 2 of the MBX 140mm mags and failure to feeds. It seems that it only happens on the first 5-6 rounds when the mag is loaded with 21-22 rounds. The round catches on the upper right corner of the chamber sometimes or it feeds halfway and stays just out of battery. I am shooting factory Magtech 124 gr. Any thoughts?

In regards to camping there, what is the status of the showers? Are they back in service?

Found these chokes while cleaning out the safe, certainly not to anything I own any longer. I know that they're italian manufacture I think, but searching through Berettas and Benelli's and Franchi's, I can't find what they fit. The really weird thing (at least I think) is the 6 wrench slots in the end of the tubes. Any ideas? What are they worth?

Welcome to the forums! I wouldn't worry too much if you're just starting out about spending a whole ton of money, your SBE with just the Nordic extension and clamp will be awesome to start with. Go to a few matches, watch what other competitors are using, alot of them will probably be more than happy to let you shoot their guns as well if you ask.

I've heard the following does wonders for your vision and focus. Crack a raw egg into 16 oz. of Red Bull then mix in 1 tsp. of fresh squirrel poo. Drink it, throw it back up, then take a Target-brand multi vitamin.

I have a 34" waist, and at a match, I always have 7 Wilson ETM's loaded. 5 on the belt, 1 in the gun and 1 that I top load from and keep in a forward pocket in case a texas star gets the best of me. Don't laugh, it's come in handy once! You can never have too much ammo.

Have you purchased the irons yet? If you want to shoot different divisions, yes, a quick release would be my choice as well. If you just want the back up irons with optics for short range work, use a fixed mount (like the Burris PEPR) and take a look at JP's Short Range Tactical Sight or offset a small red dot on the scope. Thank you for the info, helluva post! That's the conclusion I had kind of come to as far as mounting on a 16" barrel. I was aware of the differences between the CAR gas system vs. middy vs. rifle, that's why I chose the middy in the first place. All disadvantages aside, it is not always practical to wear hearing protection while hunting (as mentioned in a different thread) and I was looking for something that might help with the punishment to my hearing without getting into solutions that involve a lot of red tape. I have another idea but I have to figure out the legality issues first and if it's worth it.

I had a similar situation at a match, only it was the front sight and it went airborne after firing fruitlessly at a popper that wouldn't fall. I ended up epoxying that sumbitch. Sorry to hear about the rough match
