  1. I clean every single one. I started off with precision rifle, so that got me cleaning primer pockets. Yes it maybe a waste of time as others have stated, but Quality Control can never be too bad. And YES WIn cases are always dirtier then anyothers, they always need cleaned, where others are perfect like new, after being put into tumbler after being resized and deprimed. Inspector 12 out.
  2. They do, and will ask before the weekend if any matches I will be attending, or after the weekend, how the match went, what position I placed.
  3. I can't say 100% that they are exactly the same. Same grain, same style (JHP) the only diff is length of the bullet?? I only have used 180 MG JHP. They are always available, and awesome quality. To answer your question, I would say you can load same as the XTP, always need to start low and work up, finding one that fits your gun, feeds well, accurate, etc.
  4. No finish here, Just the over spray from gun oil, case lube, etc.
  5. I did a search, did not come up with good results, maybe you might. When you search Accurate, of course it brings up, the accuracy of the load. Here is a copy paste from the Accurate web site, gives ya a starting point. You did not mention the weight of the MG so I did them all. 40 S&W Barrel: 4" ■ Twist: 1-16" ■ Primer: WIN WSP ■ Bullet Diameter .400" No.2 135 NOS JHP 6.8 1,097 7.6 1,247 34,700 1.125 No.2 150 NOS JHP 5.9 988 6.6 1,098 34,860 1.135 No.2 155 BRY RS 5.6 968 6.2 1,100 35,000 1.125 No.2 155 HDY XTP 5.9 966 6.5 1,073 34,350 1.135 No.2 165 SIE JHP 5.2 907 5.8 1,008 34,220 1.135 No.2 180 HDY XTP 4.8 828 5.3 920 34,450 1.135 No.2 180 RAN HP 4.3 794 4.8 903 33,400 1.125
  6. Any Power Factor have to be met? Out of my XD 40 service, I like 3.3 TG, about 126 PF ( MG 180gr JHP). That is enough to knock'em down, big poppers I can hit above the sweet spot and send them down.

Someone getting their post count up.
  8. 3.5 TG 180 JHP, 1.125 this makes 132PF out of XD Service. Beings you have a shorter barrel might have to play with some loads.
  9. +1 Pretty much how I started out, Leather CCW holster and leather dual mag pouches, until I felt comfortable and knew I was going to continue in the sport. As far as the gun went I already had some Trijicon sights (night) on it. then went to FO front. added grip tape, then trigger job. Got the DAA belt, CR pouches and Bladtech DOH holster, the clets, Rudy glasses, all decked out, and know I am here to stay. Santa did bring me reloading gear, thats how I got into this sport. So I would think about that gear, first or if not worked in there some how. Welcome to the addiction!!
  10. Her split times on first two shots was great! BUT she should have not walked away from the scene.
  11. Started USPSA in Mar 09, 1st classification was "C". Did not climb out of that hole last year. This year at begining of season, was travleing, busy, busy. So I hit up a few more matches, as many I could later in the year. Also purchased Brains book and Saul Kirsch (Thinking Pratical Shooting). Red both, Sauls' hit home more, Brains' I need to mature more in shooting, to 100% understand, but was much help also. Soooooooo here it goes, This year I have shot 7 classifiers, before the reading of the books Average % was 27.34% (high 42.68, low 19.78) Last 2 I have shot 71% and just yesterdays update 83%. Some may say, you have shot a lot in past 2 months and that helped you, yeah I can see that point, BUT that was a jump. Last year shot 5K rds, this year only 2500. So less shooting altogether. Should have seen the look on wifes face when she tried to tell me all I am doing is shooting, when I gave her the facts. Kudos to the Men, for great books and helping a brother move up in this fine sport we have. A65312, bet you can tell when I red them.
  12. Keyless entry unless you lock the keyless remote inside the car, then you'll need something other than a rock to get that door open Sorry I meant the Key pad on the outside. With truck running/not running I can use key pad to open door. BUT if truck is running the remote will not work.
  13. That is one gift, you HAVE to be careful on re-gifting.
  14. That was my 1st introduction into USPSA, new shooter, gave like a 3 hour speech deal. Then got to go out and shoot 2 stages (this was held day before their monthly match) As I just took my neighbor for first time in comp, he loved it BUT I wish he could have had a class before hand. Pumping him full of all the info, saftey, range commands, hits, no shoots, etc, it was quite a bit of info to take in. With the emotion of the match itself. As the MD did take him aside prior to and give him a saftey breifing.
  15. Well it depends how the match went, when I get home it might get thrown. Joking. Clean after every match/pratice session, complete strip twice a year. clean mags if it was a muddy match.
  16. I agree. Hows the groups witrh that much finger on there?
